It clearly has something to do with Thomas the tank engine being
exposed as a rogue agent. ;)

Ringo or Pierce cameo? Don’t let Marc Forster direct!

Depends where you are I guess: in the UK Rogue Nation is on Sky/NOW. Fallout isn't at the moment I think, but it seems to come and go from Netflix.

This site is really useful for seeing where you can watch films: https://www.justwatch.com/

    Thanks !

And looking damn cool while doing it still. I'm guessing these are the new scenes they just shot that were doubling for a Middle Eastern airport or something.

Looks like it. Given that they had to cut filming in the UAE short, because of new Covid restrictions, it looks as though they'll be finishing it up in the UK.

According to locals, Grand Central, Birmingham will be used to double for Abu Dhabi International Airport.

Losing ones luggage in the airport is one thing, but this is another level:

"Tom Cruise loses thousands of pounds worth of luggage as thieves steal bodyguard’s BMW in Birmingham. The car has now been recovered by the police but all the luggage kept inside is gone."

Super cool looking, but I am one of the three people in the world who don't like aviators at all.

    M:I 8 script?

How meta...make a film about the script for the film, and other items, being stolen and becoming part of a new mission. A brain-bender...

Absolutely, and they're STILL filming it. I'm still under the assumption, given the way McQuarrie frames his Instagram posts, that they've been filming some bits for M:I8, as well, but damn, it's taking ages and now we're back to over a year out until this next one releases.

Yeah a bit of me wonders if that's a delay from fear of losing profits (in a NTTD way) or it's because they're just behind in making it.

    After exactly one year...
"Mission: Impossible 7 is due to wrap principal photography next Thursday, 9 September at Longcross Studios in the UK.

Post-production is already underway on parts of the feature.

Filming was due to begin in Venice in February 2020 just as the pandemic was taking hold of Europe, and was subsequently forced to suspend several times due to Italian lockdowns.

Other stoppages were the result of positive Covid tests on set, including one in the UK in June this year.

Despite the staccato filming pattern due to the complex logistics, the spy thriller managed to take in various global locations: as well as Venice, Rome and the UK (where it filmed at Longcross, Warner Bros Studios Leavesden, Birmingham, Derbyshire and Yorkshire), it also shot in Norway and Abu Dhabi. It is director Christopher McQuarrie’s third in the franchise, following Rogue Nation and Fallout."

Heh! I just came to this thread to say that Simon Pegg is on the radio saying they wrapped the day before the yesterday. He also said they're going to start on MI8 in the new year.

Good, gives them a bit of downtime after a looooong shoot. I'm sure they've already filmed some stuff that'll be used for M:I8, too, which will help.

It would be nice to see the Bond team adapt some of these ideas, to get the films made. ;)

Christopher McQuarrie officially marks the end of filming with an image of him and Tom:

  • I'm waiting for a screening at the cinema :)
  • Some news about MI:8 from the Sun (so feel free to take it with a grain of salt).
DAREDEVIL actor Tom Cruise is learning to fly a World War Two military plane for stunt scenes in the next instalment of his film blockbuster series Mission: Impossible.

I can reveal the fearless star, who shot to fame as fighter-jet pilot Maverick in Top Gun, has been getting to grips with a 1943 Boeing Stearman Model 75.

He was spotted in the training aircraft — which had two movie rigs on its wings — at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire.

The plane is to be filmed in a chase with another wartime aircraft.

A source told me: “Tom had started to learn to fly a Boeing Stearman biplane earlier this year for a major stunt scene in Mission: Impossible 8.

“It’s obviously a highly skilled task but as usual he has no plans to cut any corners or bring in a stuntman.

“Filming has only just wrapped on Mission: Impossible 7 but Tom has not given himself a break.

“And trying to film jaw-dropping scenes with an 80-year-old plane is particularly dangerous.”

That sounds awesome. I can’t wait for a trailer for the next one sometime early next year or whenever. I need to see what they’ve come up with.
