    True. But as @Contraband has pointed out: Duncan is legit. No, he hasn't seen the film, but he's seen enough of the production to make a good guess on its quality.

    When I learned something about filmmaking, when I was working myself in that business. You cannot guess on the quality of the finished product by the script or being on set.
    You can have the best script, a fantastic read turning into a shitty movie, if the timing/editing etc. doesn't work.

    So of course he can say: It's a fantastic script. But if the movie will live up to that, only people who actual saw the film can say.

    I was on the set of DAF, read the script, intrerviewed actors, appeared in the film, watched dailies and thought it was going to turn out like OHMSS in tone. So what does that tell you?

    Absolutely, @delfloria. I'm relishing Paul Duncan's comments based on his current insight.

    His later assessments will be equally interesting if they're shared. Whether or not they align with my own.

    There's two scenes in Spectre that I think are probably the best "talking head" moments in all of Bond — the one with Bond and White with the chess table, and the one with Bond and Madeleine in the train car with the gun. I'm no expert, but gotta think the nature of those scenes (two people talking in a fixed environment) allowed Mendes to really flex his theater chops.

    Yeah. That's it. Good news is, only Bond fans see slight flaws in Bond films, because we live, sleep, eat and dream Bond and will always nitpick, but casual Bond fans will never see flaws. A friend of mine who's a casual Bond fan recently said he's waiting to see if NTTD would top DAD, which is his favourite Bond film.

    Yeah, with NFL starting in two weekends and the film get closer — I bet you'll see a blitz of marketing beginning shortly.

    Yes. It’s gonna be a long month…

    Hopefully the final trailer will be a banger and since it’s pretty long I’m confident there’s gonna be a lot of new stuff in it.
