Tom Jones made an appearance on Friday's edition, with Bond making an appearance at about 35 minutes with part of Whicker's World coverage of YOLT.

    God I hate the One Show. Only the beeb could serve such mindless tripe.

    And also Shirley Eaton! Somehow this episode was actually worth a watch when I managed to catch it.

    This isn't a debate on the quality of the One Show, more the content of this episode.

    It all came up about Tom being talked about as a replacement for Sean Connery (in your dreams Thomas). Also, poor Shirley being wheeled out to tell everyone about being painted gold nearly 50 years ago.

    Indeed but you have to admit Shark has a point. Has there ever been a more bland, soul sapping, creatively moribund way to see your licence fee p****d up the wall?

    Well apart from Last of the Summer Wine obviously.
