Watched the movie version of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy last night and noticed Control (John Hurt) had Union Jack porcelain bulldogs in his office just like M did subsequently in Skyfall. Coincidence?

    I've noticed it too, it is pretty cool!

    I just wonder exactly how that bulldog could have survived if the entire floor of MI6 blew to smitherins? ;)

    It wasn't completely unscathed - but yes, it survived against all the odds. True to its symbolism.
