Honor Blackman tour

Just came back from a talk with Honor Blackman at a theatre in Kingston. Sat in the front row and watched her recall her life, sing "Send in The Clowns" and perform a speech by Marlene Dietrich. She looked great for her age and wore two stunning outfits (changing from a blue dress to a more glamorous golden frock in the interval.

She didn't say all that much about Goldfinger but did recall how the crew wanted close-ups of her and Sean to be used in the barn scene.

She also talked about her early upbringing, her first husband (who sounded like a bastard), A Night to Remember (strongly implying that she wasn't a fan of Cameron's 1997 film), the death of her father and brother, her time on The Avengers and adopting children.

Overall it was a great evening and it felt like a real 'honor' to be there (forgive the pun!)

She is a great actress and a great lady. AND she refused an O.B.E. because she is republican (in the proper sense of the word).
