Awesome Fulci film, possibly my favourite of his, starring the lovely Barbara Bouchet.

Dark Phoenix 4K the cheapness of this film seemed even more apparent than usual, despite poor direction and some poor characterization Xavier being the worst, Its a film that does keep me thinking more so than many of the other films.

My favorite Ealing comedy and a dark comedy at that. Guinness is unbelievably good.

The film originally had me at Sellers' name, but I just admit that Guinness and Lom truly took me by surprise. Excellent performances!

I take it it was a first time watch? Its been one of my favorite films since I was young, one of Sellers earliest major films he is good though as you say Guinness and Lom steal the show, the distrust between them is great. The irony at the end I love as no one was ever going to believe anything Mrs. Wilberforce said lol

It really was my first viewing, yes indeed, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns. In fact, I was thinking about seeing the Coen brothers' remake, but now I'm worried that film can never be quite as good.

I have avoided the Coen Brothers remake because I like the original so much, I may watch it one day as the Coen Brothers generally do make good films.

The Ladykillers is superb. Seeing Prof. Marcaus playing the rest of the team against each other, never gets old. "Nervous, Louis?"

I love the old lady. And how Alec Guinness plays his Jedi tricks on her.

    Casino Royale 1954

As we begin this year I have to start with the film I traditionally start with I am surprised how there are some elements of the bond character that feels well like a traditional bond movie, Bond in 54 was ruthless and suave the only thing I don’t like is that we don’t get the classic Bond, James Bond line but beyond that I enjoy the film

A question more for the community why aren’t there more fan made Barry Nelson posters or videos heck with cgi can someone make a a gunbarrel or hell one cool modern poster with Nelson as 007 1 please

"In a Lonely Place" is one of my all-time favorite movies – of any genre (i.e., noir, SCI-FI, action, etc..). In fact, having recently re-watched my Criterion Blu-Ray, I'm currently drafting a short write-up to post here. And while, I’ll reserve most of my comments for that write-up, “In A Lonely Place” is a masterpiece, as well as containing my favorite line of dialogue in any movie - ever.

@Thunderfinger. Run – don’t walk – to see this movie!!!

A great Bogart flick, and IMO one of the greatest noirs of all time.

The VR sequence was enough all by itself for me. As well as the lovely Olga, of course.

I avoided The Crystal Skull, for obvious reasons, and don't have high hopes for
    the new Indy film.

    ROPE

Nice, experimental suspense film by the grandmaster himself. Though I prefer the thematically somewhat similar Dial M For Murder, this is nevertheless a great film in my book.

    THE CHANGELING

George C. Scott is excellent in this creepy little ghost story.

Ok, this one drank way too much stupid juice. I zoned out early on. No idea what Tony Curtis was trying to do here...

I wasn't a fan of those 10 minute takes in rope, as I feel it kept the actors too
    restrained or restricted.

I did get to see today Operation Kid Brother with Neil Connery.

Never liked 'True Lies' , 'Commando' is much more fun! And you're right, the former doesn't come any way near Bond quality!
