Jimmy Page Goldfinger?

edited January 2013 in Music Posts: 2,782
Ive only recently learnt that Page played as a session musician on Goldfinger. And that the song was hated by the producers. Wow. Furthermore, the song was inspired by an old German ditty which became Mack the Knife. Martin produced the track Barry wrote it but there are two versions, Shirley's and another version by one of the co writers, does anyone else have this?

  • If that's him that does the riff on guitar during the scenes in America then my life just got a whole lot better.

I remember hearing the other version years ago. It was a simpler, jazzier version right? If only I could remember where I got/heard it. Hmph.
  • JWPepperJWPepper You sit on it, but you can't take it with you.

In a documentary Jimmy Page himself confirms this, apparently.
I believe it's the instrumental version of Goldfinger Theme.
