    I own all Fleming's books but I've only read Casino Royale and Live and Let Die. I also own Carte Blanche but I haven't read it yet.

    I've read all of the Fleming novels and CARTE BANCHE. I also read one of John Gardner's - COLD - and that was enough for me. I haven't read anything by Amis, Faulks, Benson or anything else by Gardner. And I refuse to read Charlie Higson on principle. Young Bond seemed like a bad idea to me, diluting the character.

    I've read all the Fleming's, the one by Kingley Amis and Death is Forever by John Gardner.

    I'd like to read some more John Gardners; but not the two latest novels by Faukes and Deaver as I got the impression from fan reviews that they were a bit bland.

    If you find them in a bargainbin it is good to make your own mind up.

    Were they to find a missing manuscript written by Ian Fleming, there would be a lot of critism as well. It is just the nature of the internet.

    I've read goldfinger, moonraker and casino royale. im gonna admit that i was introduced to bond through the films and i never had much of an intrest in the books until i picked up a copy of CR when the film came out

    Haven't read any of these. Who wrote the spoofs? Are they worth reading?

    All the Flemings (except for Quantum of Solace, which is not included in the Swedish short story collection ), Amis, all the Gardners, all the Bensons (exept for Blast from the Past), all the Higsons, Faulks and Deavers.

    I have not read Pearsons autobiography (I only got a few chapters, but thought it was rubbish), Woods novelisations and Weinbergs Moneypenny-trilogy.

    Am I missing something?

    I've read all Flemings, Gardners, Bensons, the Amis book, DMC and CB. The Flemings I've read five or six times, same with Colonel Sun. Gardners and Bensons I've read all at least twice. The more recent DMC/CB one time only.

    I read the Fleming novels in chronological order every year, beginning in January. I then flit between whichever takes my fancy.

    Just started, and I'm at one. I'm 7% through LALD according to Kindle, but thats about to grow quite a bit. Bathroom break!

    All the Ian Fleming novels and short stories, Colonel Sun, Devil May Care and a couple of books by John Gardner. I love Fleming novels, not so the shorts.

    But have you read Rudyard Kipling's .007?

    All fleming and i had licence revoked think that was the title of that book also colonel sun never completed either. probably 20 years since i read them. think its time i revisited them.

    I've read every Bond novel except for Carte Blanche and the film adaptations.

    I loved all the Fleming novels. Colonel Sun was good, if not very exciting. I enjoyed most of the John Gardner novels, except for Brokenclaw, which was rubbish. Although you have to take with a pinch of salt the fact that the literary Bond was still in his peak in the 80s and 90s, most of the stories were pretty interesting, and for several years the annual Bond novel by Gardner was the only new Bond material available at all.

    Bensons books were, on the whole, quite enjoyable, but it was very difficult not to picture Pierce Brosnan when I was reading them; the books seemed to be very much based on Bond's cinematic persona. Devil May Care was great, although it was obviously written with a hindsight that Fleming could not possibly have had. I bought all the Young Bond books simply because I wanted to read more Bond material; I can take them or leave them. I didn't bother with the Moneypenny books.

    Possibly my all time favourite was Moonraker; it was different because it was set solely in England, and for a change Bond DIDN'T get the girl in the end....

    i am sad to say NONE! X_X Not on purpose but its something that i will do. Just don't get much quiet time time to switch off and read the novels! Perhaps when i retire?

    I've just finished The Man with the Golden Gun and with that all of Fleming's novels and short stories.
    My favorites were: Casino Royale, Moonraker, You Only Live Twice, and from the short stories, The Hildebrand Rarity, Quantum of Solace and The Property of a Lady.
    The Spy Who Loved Me surprised me because it was far better than what I thought it was and what the critics said about it. It is undoubtedly unorthodox but very interesting.
    I have no interest in reading continuation novels. My literary 007 ends with Fleming.

    I started reading the Bond books when I was 14. I've read the following books, but all of them in portuguese translations

    And since then I haven't read a single James Bond book. Maybe it's time to me to read the original versions. No more translations. I'm very much in need of improving my English ;)

    I've read from Casino Royale to Goldfinger. Moonraker and CR are my favourites of the ones I've read. The rest of the Flemings are sitting on my bookshelf and I'm aiming to get through them by the end of this year. I'm unsure if I'll read any of the continuation novels.

    I've read them all. There are 53 total books btw, not including the Fleming (007 in New York), Benson, Samantha Weinberg Moneypenny Diaries, and Higson Young Bond, short stories. You will have to scrounge around to find all the short stories.

    1 John Pearson ( The fictionalized Bond authorized bio)
    7 screenplay novelizations ( Two by Chris Wood, TSWLM and MR; 2 by John Gardner, LTK and GE and three by Ray Benson, TND, TWINE and DAD)
    14 Gardner original novels
    6 Benson original novels
    5 Charlie Higson Young Bond novels
    3 Samantha Weinberg Moneypenny Diaries ( yes these are Bond novels as Bond figures in all of them)
    1 Sebastein Faulks (Devil May Care)
    1 Jeffrey Deaver ( Carte Blanche)

    53 total plus short stories.

    I've read all of the Flemings, sometimes two or three times. All of Gardner's - his first seven or eight are great!! All of the Raymond Bensons (entertaining but nothing spectacular) Colonel Sun, and Carte Blanche. Tried to get through Devil May Care but just couldn't do it. For anyone who hasn't tried Fleming give it a try. In my opinion, Doctor No, Live and Let Die, and On Her Majesty's Secret Service are the best. Enjoy!!

    I've now read CR and LALD (and AVTAK). Time to move on to MR next...

    Looking forward to it having seen its held in high regard by many here.
