"Skyfall?..............Done........." What did Skyfall mean up to that point in the movie?

Okay so we all knew its the name of his family home already, and that becomes clear later in the film, but what relevance does the word Skyfall have up to the point of the debriefing scene, what does the word Skyfall mean? I didn't hear it referred to as a mission name or cover name for example.......so what would make Bond reply "Done" so emphatically?

Have I missed something in the dialogue!?!?!

It means the same in the debriefing scene, they want to see how he reacts to his family home/past (later related to as unresolved childhood drama by Silva).
