First nr. 1 spots are coming in for Adele's 'Skyfall'! *Check for country*

Okay, I have got some great news from the great country of The Netherlands:

The Dutch Mega Top 50 confirms that for the first time since Sheena Easton's nr.1 for 'For Your Eyes Only', another James Bond title song ends up at the famous nr.1 spot. And off course that song is Adele's 'Skyfall'!!

Tomorrow afternoon (Saturday October 13th) the Dutch Mega Top 50 will be broadcasted on Radio 3FM at 15:00 GMT+1: http://www.3fm.nl. Later tonight (Friday October 12th), you can already find the full list at http://megatop50.3fm.nl.

For your information, the Mega Top 50 is the biggest chartlist in The Netherlands. It includes the physical sales of CD's, radio and TV airplay and sold internet downloads.

    Yeah, maybe you are right. But I thought, as a means of listing, it was a nice idea to collect and summarize all chart positions across the globe. Not necessarily discussing the actual song.

    True, but matching Duran Duran and winning from Madonna (3rd spot was her highest in the UK no?)....that's already fantastic news.

    Well, I think it's safe to say where on planet Earth the biggest Bond fans live LOL :-P. By the way, I think Adele's hit success might be the biggest since Duran Duran's 'A View To A Kill'. So it does deserve a dedicated article on the site somewhere no :-)? (Unless Madonna's 'Die Another Day' is a slightly bigger hit)

    I love those violins. I wish the original had them as it'd fit well with the
    final shots of the pre-title sequence underwater.
    That said, the vocals aren't a patch on Adele's.
