I recently caught YOLT on itv4 and what a treat it was.This film and OHMSS are the high watermark of Bond action,adventure and glamour. The photography is stunning from the full house Japanese wrestling match to the islands of Japan at sunset. The choice of location in far-east Japan is exotic and glamorous and the producers make full use of it with the islands and the beautifully staged 'wedding' scene. The photography both inside and outside the volcanoe is beautiful (even in a space age way).This film is a joy to all film fans(not just Bond fans) it could give Clark Gables ' Gone With The Wind' a run for its money. YOLT and OHMSS come from a time when fans ,while still enjoying the occasional touch of humour,still took their james Bond seriously. From the mid-1970's on Bond films became puerile,silly parodies and have never fully recovered from that. As for Daniel Craig (as we say in England) 'You're flogging a dead horse mate !' (meaning his efforts are pointless).
