    Another chapter of my youth has gone. RIP Robert Conrad (1935 – 2020).

    While he did a lot more than “Wild Wild West”, when I see that show (…James Bond on horseback, according to the critics of the day) in re-runs it never fails to entertain. Here’s to the further adventures of James West and Artemus Gordon (Ross Martin, 1920 – 1981) in the next life.

    Robert Conrad was a lot of fun.

    He also did his more modern spy time as noted, I watched this on NBC in 1979.

    R. I. P. Robert Conrad, the Columbo TV movie he was in is very memorable, Conrad's and Falk's scenes are pretty intense great acting.

    I remember Robert Conrad as Pasquinel in the tv series Centennial from the end of the 70s. Great character, great performance.

    Sad to hear of the death of Robert Conrad. He was very good as Milo Janus in Columbo: An Exercise in Fatality (1974). He was a character you really loved to hate, and Lt. Columbo clearly felt the same way too!

    Robert Conrad's death is sad as yet another great spy from the '60s golden age is gone. Thankfully, we still have all the Avengers ladies, Stefanie Powers and few from the Mission: Impossible cast.

    Wild Wild West was the first real TV spy show I got to see in the '70s when it was in syndication on a local station. Avengers, UNCLE and the like never played or did before I was old enough to appreciate them.

    I loved WWW with the gadgets, disguises and action. And possibly the greatest recurring villain of all: Dr. Loveless. And while I have the entire series on DVD, for whatever reason I just don't seem to give it much play as I do UNCLE, Avengers, Batman or Twilight Zone.

    Agreed @BT3366. Every time one of the stars of that era pass, it’s a grim reminder of just how much time has gone by (i.e., how can Barbara Felton possibly be turning 87 in a few weeks!?).

    I know it’s a It’s a cliché to say it; but let us be forever thankful for their contributions and wish them all the best in their later years.

    British tv presenter and former winner of Strictly Come Dancing, Caroline Flack. Victim of suicide. Age 40. She was on bail pending a domestic abuse trial.

    I'm very sad tonight. I've just heard of the demise of one of my favourite singers, New Zealand born Graeme Allwright, who passed away today, aged 93 :

    Katherine Johnson has died. She was the main subject of the 2016 film “Hidden Figures.” A movie that I saw about four times that year, and will certainly watch again in the next day or so.



    Truly, someone that made a difference in human history.

    Jahn Teigen passed away last night at the age of 70. RIP to a sympathetic and funny man. He was one of the artists at the first concert I went to in 1979.

    To those not familiar with Jahn , he was very famous , esp in Scandinavia like Norway and Sweden. Hanne Krogh said had he been born in UK hed been a major star , like Elvis he went from rock to more ballads , later he would join Prima Vera , similar humor like the Python lads ;)



    (this was controversial , NRK was reluctant to air this in '76 , afraid skeleton costume would be too intense for audiences)
