I knew I'd seen M's china union-flag bulldog somewhere before...

She stole one of Control's three china bulldogs from his office in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' (bottom right, partial shot):

And according to the DVD commentary they were merely on loan from John le Carre. I wonder if he knows.
