Why all the hate for Nintendo? I've got a Wii. It's fun.

Not for Nintendo, but for the Wii. When everyone thought it could be a revolutionary console, it comes out with a simple movement-with-wires s__t and PS2 graphics, when it could have better than x360 ones. Sad.

Y'know, the Wii is still capable of near-HD graphics. The graphics of Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles rival those of Resident Evil 5 (and the CG is actually better than RE5's CG). I'm not exactly getting your "movement-with-wires" thing (yes, the sensor is attached to the console by way of a wire, but the WiiMote is not attached to the sensor by a wire). Nintendo's goal with the Wii wasn't graphics, it was the controller itself.

This is where what I say is gonna start to sound gay (bear with me).

I enjoy playing with my Wii. Shaking the WiiMote to reload my weapons feels very right, and waving my sword around on Zelda is something I find very theraputic.

    The gayness ends.

Microsoft , Sony and Nintendo all have lost their innovation and originality. Everything is all about casual gaming. fancy graphics but no good solid hardcore gameplay. It's a big shame the bond license has been handled by such lousy companies since RAREWARES departure, EA and Activision have done nothing creative or anything with real quality for Bond. A bond action RPG set in downtown London with tons of free-roaming options, the opportunity to just casually dine as Bond when not on a mission, to make MI6 an explorable place where you can train to build up bonds attributes, the stealth would be realistically in-depth. ..I mean seriously there are so many great ideas not being implemented for Bond games, instead were stuck with generic FPS'S that are rehashing old movie plots such as MR with the words 007 legends slapped on the cover , what a disgrace.

That sounds amazing, sort of like Grand Theft Auto. I would play that. The possibilities are endless too, Bond going into a casino, playing some baccarat, having a martini, etc...

Though from what I saw in the MR demo of Legends, it looks pretty interesting. They don't fully borrow from the movie: that space shuttle lauch scene the way it's staged in the game, I don't even think is in the film, right?

Seriously though I don't think the Wii is that bad. I enjoyed Twilight Princess and the Scarface game, but the graphics weren't a huge improvement over my ps2, and there's barely any big 3rd party games on there like GTA, Assassins Creed, etc. Anyway, a year or two later I sold the Wii to get a 360, then a year or two later I got a ps3, which broke a week or two ago. Now I'm back on Xbox.

I think that's because 3rd party developers don't really know how to use the WiiMote properly. We're seeing the same thing with the PS Move, too, which very few games have Move support, because developers don't know how to use it properly.

Also, the third parties feel that the processing power and the graphics capabilities are no match for the Sony and XBOX consoles. So it's hard for them to develop a game for all three systems, when one is inferior specs-wise.

The rumour is that the Wii-U's graphical capabilities aren't even on the level of PS3 and XBOX-360, which is disappointing.

...But on the flipside, Nintendo has always been about the quality flagship first-party franchises: Mario, Zelda, DK, Metroid, etc. These games alone are worth owning a Wii, plus all the classic games you can get for the virtual console. Goldeneye 64 was a bonafide Nintendo title back in 1997. It's a shame, Nintendo does have that exclusivity for Bond games these days. Unfortunately, 007 Legends on the Wii (assuming it does come out) will be an inferior product to the PS3 and 360 versions.

I really hope that Legends is announced for Wii U. Wii did a real nice job with motion controls for Goldeneye. Overall the Wii so far has been the best at implementing motion controls. I have an XBOX 360 and many others I know who played Goldeneye Wii did as well, but there was just something extra fun and special about using the wii mote and nunchuck that kept us playing the Wii instead. I still go back and play Goldeneye Wii because of how much fun it is. HD bond with motion usage that actually works well would be a huge draw for the Wii U crowd.

I always have trouble with the motion controls. Every game I have, where I place the sensor bar, pointing the WiiMote at the sensor means straight ahead; but with GoldenEye, somehow, pointing at the sensor means pointing slightly downward. I have this problem no matter what control configuration I use, even with my Wii Sniper Rifle and my Wii Motion Plus attachment. I've always felt right at home using a Gamecube controller.

They made GE N64. The remake wasn't very good. I'm not buying a wii u anyway so I don't really care if it's on Wii U or not.

First off the cube was more powerful than ps2 so don't get me started. Secondly it was simple movement to bring people into the gaming world. the problem is developers were lazy and not using the console to its core. calling a ps2 graphics destroy your argument from the start grow up.

Its more of a new game not a remake of n64 version at all. It is a good game you just wanted another n64 goldeneye and went the wrong way into thinking of the game. There great games and leagues clans etc..

Close but no rareware before they change names to rare. made epic goldeneye Nintendo just publish it.

@JBFan626 - why are you believing rumors its been said more than once by other developers its powerful and really sony can't do what they did with ps3 next gen you know why? they are loosing money. ms could without a problem but graphics are not going to improve much next gen at all so stop getting your hopes up now.

Hmmm... Flashy loading screen panning over globe, computer tech style, etc.... Opening first person cut scene you can't skip, with maybe one or two buttons to push...a bit of linear gameplay, followed by an on rails sequence.... MI6 ops mode? and why is the shooting so similar to- God damnit this is Call Of Duty isn't it!

That is basically my problem with the game. Yeah, I wanted the n64 Goldeneye, because that's what it promises! That's the only reason they made this game, to piggy back of the success of the n64 Goldeneye, so of course I'm expecting that. They should've done what Halo Anniversary did, and just given us the n64 game with better graphics.

that not what they promise and many games are similar to cod so don't act surprise. just like you can't skip in other games as well its just goldeneye where is on rails?? there is none. you don't have to play the m16 mode it was added for more enjoyment. no its not call of duty

I know I should've expected it but that doesn't mean I should cut it any slack. There is on rails, on the dam opening which for some reason has replaced the bungee jump, you jump in a truck and shoot out of the window. And yes it is Call Of Duty. MI6 ops is optional but it's still this games answer to Spec Ops mode from Call Of Duty.

Like I said, they should've done what Halo did, release the game exactly the same as the original, but with improved graphics, for a cheaper price. But add voice acting. Have you even played the n64 game?

Using Macromedia Fireworks, I did a little editing to the GoldenEye Wii case that sums things up pretty well.

Okay... I was going to post it, but it seems I can't.

Drop an email to [email protected] if you want to see it, that I know I can do.

No its not even close of being a cod though it has the same button layout for the fact that is modern shooter. Second the only thing change with the bugine jump his bond not using a bugine jump is pretty much the same just a bit different i don't see where the rail shooting is when it opens. when it opens you silent take down the guards than go over and kill gaurds. and snipe than you shoot while someone else driving this has also been in bond games nothing new.

And yes i played both cod and bond games there difference huge differences no as fast as on feet, you actually look like you climb a damn ladder than just go up fast on a ladder.

there no jumping... there climbing over things and you can duck. as in most games again many shooters do this.

Shooting while somebody else is driving is rail shooting, that is a fact, it's an on rails sequence. It's closer to being COD than anything else. Ladder climbing, what a huge difference. Makes up for a whole game mode being a COD game mode. I don't think you can argue that the GE remake wasn't Call Of Duty inspired. The 1st thing I did after finishing the remake was dust off the old n64 and play the real GE game.

    Doing this as we speak.

Attempt failed. The Captcha doesn't show up on the sign in screen.

@critter171 I completed it actually, didn't like it at all. Like I said, I prefer the n64 version which you probably haven't played. Yes, it is COD inspired, I don't think you can argue with that. Your post doesn't make any sense. Did you just join this site so you can defend the GE remake?

    Exactly.

@Agent007391 I've had trouble with Photobucket too. It won't let me upload any photos since I made an account. Maybe it's just my laptop being dodgy again.
