    5 I’m in constant communication with someone, but you never find out who
    6 I have a habit of repeating myself
    7 My headgear is designed for a different activity
    8 It’s not often the nerves get the better of Bond, but he’s definitely looking worried

    Could it be the man on top of the ski slope in FYEO, that instructs the skiers when it's their turn to go? Seems to fit nicely.

    Now that’s more like it @pachazo, it is the Olympic ski jump official from FYEO

    1 You’ll need to put some time and effort into finding me...
    (quite a trek with lift and stairs up to the top of the ski jump)
    2 But if you want to know where I am just look at me ...
    (his baseball cap has the Cortina logo on it)
    3 And once you’ve found me, you won’t be staying long
    (as soon as the jump is clear, he sends the next skier down)
    4 It appears I’m helping out with a little product placement
    (several clear logos on clothes, including Ellesse - which Roger Moore later promoted - and the town Cortina)
    5 I’m in constant communication with someone, but you never find out who
    (wears a headset to communicate with other - unknown - officials)
    6 I have a habit of repeating myself
    (says libero each time someone is clear to jump)
    7 My headgear is designed for a different activity
    (baseball cap on a ski jump)

    Excellent! Great choice of character and clues. I've thought about playing him myself in the past. He never failed to capture my attention when watching FYEO as a youngster.

    Okay, I think I already know who's next so I'll try to get it up ASAP.

    Yes, it's Major Clive from OP!

    1) I have a job for you.
    He tells Khan, "You'll have a job beating that!"

    2) It's not that difficult to lead me to a particular destination.
    To borrow an expression from Goldfinger, Khan has been taking him to the cleaners.

    3) Looking like Bond and acting like Bond are two entirely different things.
    They are dressed identically. Black tie, white jacket.

    4) Traces of gold can be found.
    This is mainly about the Goldfinger similarities. Bond exposing the villain at cheating. The henchman crushing something in his hands. It's also a clue to the golden egg as well though.

    5) I'm determined to change this!
    The outcome of the game. He keeps playing thinking Khan's luck will run out.

    6) James Bond will return in... a few minutes.
    He follows Magda to the bar for a bit and then comes back.

    He finally refuses Khan's offer to keep playing.

    3. ... although I’ve got some of my facts wrong
    4. My work today is the opposite of what it usually is
    5. I’m seen flirting with someone who is already spoken for

    7. Hair up or hair down? I’ll try both
    8. I say nothing at all during my first encounter with Bond
    9. Either I’ve shrunk or Bond is a long distance away the second time he sees me...
    10. ...and this time I have plenty to say ...
    11. Until I’m rudely interrupted mid-sentence - and that’s the last you’ll see of me!
    12. Bond is a charmer, but the other guy is a real turn off.
