    Marie from Diamonds are Forever?

And we have a winner! @Major_Boothroyd is correct. It is indeed Marie from DAF! For those of you who don't remember, she had a bit part in the PTS. You might recognize her better with her top off!

    1) Such a long journey.
Bond has traveled a long way (Japan and Cairo) to see her.

    2) If it's for members only, would they let me in?
It's unclear whether or not she is a member of SPECTRE.

    3) Be careful what you wish for.
She looks and acts like she wants to get closer to Bond.

    4) Actually, the first part wasn't that bad...
    5) ...it's what happened next that I didn't like.

Bond taking her top off was definitely a surprise, but tolerable. It's the choking part that she didn't appreciate.

    6) I'm in the loop, but I don't know everything.
She knows Blofeld's whereabouts, but not who James Bond is.

    7) Brigitte.

The name of one of the magazines that are spread out in front of her.

    8) Even though I was never addressed by name, it's still spoken out loud during the course of the film.
    "Marie... ask Marie."

    9) The burning question.

    Where is Ernst Stavro Blofeld?

    10) Footloose and fancy-free?

She doesn't appear to have any romantic attachments and she certainly has a lot of free time.

    11) I offered my services.
"Is there something I can do for you?"

    12) My name was a real lifesaver.
The man in the casino in Cairo was spared when he spoke her name to Bond.

    13) Outside with inside information.
She's lounging outside and knows where Blofled is.

    14) The big reveal.

We finally get to see Connery's face in this scene.

    15) Why don't you unburden yourself?
"There's something I'd like you to get off your chest."

    16) Everyone knows, except me.

It seems as if everyone in DAF knows who James Bond is, except for her!

    17) He made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Bond will spare her life, or at least a great deal of pain, in exchange for Blofled's location.

    18) Then, to top it all off, you didn't even get to hear my response!
To top it all off... i.e. her top comes off! Plus, we don't get to hear her response.

    19) A wolf in sheep's clothing.

    Bond seems very friendly.

    20) Something is out of place here.
Her top is around her neck instead of covering her breasts.

Hats off to you, Major! It was becoming difficult to think of clues that wouldn't give it away. I was surprised it lasted this long. Being on the other side, I was afraid that some of the more recent clues were too obvious.

Congratulations again on a job well done! I look forward to you hosting the next round.

Thank you very much @pachazo ! It is the first time I've ever correctly guessed a character. I am usually pretty useless at this...but seeing all the clues in one bundle I think helped. Clues 8 and 12 immediately put her name in my mind...funny how that works!

Anyway...I will have a think and post very soon. I have a lot to live up to - some of you posters play this game so well. Will really have to bring my best and quickly!

  • Astounding that clue no. 7 is so specific yet it took 20 clues for someone to guess correctly. Hats off to both.

Ok... Here I go with my first character quiz. Hope I'm not too obvious or too vague!

1.) you can guess half my name just by looking at me
2.) I follow orders and give them
3.) Bond thinks our expectations are reasonable.
4.) I'll tell you when it's time to strike
5.) below is where I do my worst
6.) above is where I meet my end
