I love anything Elvis and Sinatra at Christmas, and as for films Die Hard is up there and just below Elf. I watch Elf tons of times around this time of the year, almost religiously. I plan to watch it on Christmas Eve with my family.

    Wham: Last Christmas
    Paul McCartney: Wonderful Christmastime
Mariah Carey: All I want for Christmas is You
Band Aid: Do they Know It's Christmas--I'm a sucker for Bono's line in the song

    Classic Favorites:
    Elvis: Blue Christmas
    Bing Crosby: White XMas
    Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas
John Lennon: Happy XMas (War is Over)
    Herb Halbert: Winter Wonderland

Movies: It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, Christmas Story

I live and have grown up just outside of Cleveland, where "A Christmas Story" was filmed - so it's one of those things here, like the movie Major League, you can't be from this area and not have seen the movie lol... they usually hold tours of Ralphie's house every christmas, and you can actually buy the leg lamps there..... in all my 27 years I've never gone to house... maybe this year i will.

Can't believe Mistletoe and Wine hasn't got a mention. :-))
Jingle Bell Rock for me though folks.

Film has to be the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol with George c. Scott as Scrooge, all filmed in Shrewsbury - beautiful and really effective version.
That said I love the muppets version too! ;-)

Yes!!! I'm from the States and I had never even heard of this song until I was 22 and studied abroad in London in fall of '03. They were playing this song on the streets during the lighting ceremonies and everyone was singing along to this when it came on. It was pretty magical. It's effect is instant, and now always puts me in the spirit right away.
