This inflatable approach to the rig for Bond was apparently a nightmare to shoot. When they opened it each time a rush of air would blow Connerys wig off! Connery lost patience with multiple takes!

Wow, maybe I was wrong, Tiffany looks gorgeous in that bikini!

Blofelds soldiers in their blue uniforms and orange hardhats remind me of the little figures you used to get with lego!

The helicopter attack is rather dull and nowhere near as good as OHMSS one!

Blofeld tries to escape in his mini sub, why do I feel like humming the theme to Stingray?

Love that theme that Barry plays here!

    Epilogue!
Always liked these scenes of the villain or villains turning up at the end to have another go at Bond!

Wint and Kidds Achilles heel was always being too elaborate in their murder attempts! 🙄

Brave of Putter Smith to have his arms set on fire! When the stunt double took over and did the full burn, he burnt both his wrists!

So ends DAF, still a lower tier Bond, just lacks oomph! And coming after the sublime OHMSS it was a huge letdown, but it is watchable, with some genuine wit!

    Another superb write up, @Mathis1!
You're doing an excellent job holding down the fort here. :)
DAF is one I can just pop in, and enjoy every time. Extremely watchable.

I'm wondering what has happened to the last several pages/months of this thread?

Ah..........now it seems to be back. Well.........I should go to bed, but it's Craig's birthday so I'll return here with SPECTRE.

Yay! The gunbarrel. I do like the blood, but the fade out is a copout. Doesn't bother me as much as it used to.
This PTS is pretty good, and I like Bond's stroll along the rooftops.

I'm appreciating Craig's hair. This may be my favorite Craig haircut in the Bonds.
I had my final haircut appointment the other day..........and TBH I didn't quite care for the way it was trimmed.
The next day a package arrived from my fiancee..........a barber kit........so I went to town on it and fixed it.
My fiancee studied cosmatology and now I shall have free Bond haircuts for the rest of my life. :D
That helicopter bit was pretty good.
I love the segue into the titles.............

Hard to believe this Bond movie is 9 years old this year. The same timespan between DR NO and DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER.
This is still my least watched film in the series.
So far I'm enjoying this viewing

I love that the titles go straight into the M office scene.
Denbigh is pretty funny. I love Bond's flat. It's very noir like.
    Great stuff here.

Q branch in this film reminds me of NSNA.

Monica Bellucci has been a favorite of mine for ages.

    Bond crashes a SPECTRE meeting.

The pacing is quote slow on this Bond. :(

The Rome car chase isn't nearly as lacklustre as I thought when this was new. I'm enjoying it. :)

I'd forgotten this film was essentially, rotating scenes: Bond/Scooby Gang,
Now I'm on a Scooby Gang scene.

And really underused in this film IMO.

Hi @ToTheRight, its been a long time since I've watched SPECTRE. While it's a well-made film - technically - it never really worked for me. Maybe my opinion will change with a long overdue re-watch, but I've been busy (since December) watching the films of a certain very legendary Japanese creation. :))

Ah yes! The latest is supposed to be amazing.
I've been very busy as well since December, @Dwayne.

It's strange watching this film right now as I reflect on my life since 2015. So much has happened in the past 9 years.
Makes me appreciate this film more.
Right now I'm on the Mr White scene.

    Another Denbigh/Scooby Gang scene.

I do love that we get a snow section in this film, and the scenery is beautiful. Bond's introduction scene with Swann is pretty good.
I like Bond and Q's bickering here as well.
