And on to the scenic Azerbaijan. The z8 is a lovely car. Only BMW that ever fitted bond

'Tell me, have you ever lost a loved one Mr bond', 'm send me because we think your life might be in danger'. Nicely evaded that one

The paragliders, a very silly but fun chase sequence.

I don't want to be offensive, but ending in the mountains of Azerbaijan without skis, how the hell did they get back 'home'?

Ah, zukovski's casino. Where all guests wear lead underwear. Pity.

'this is a game I can't afford to play'. Sounds dramatic, but what does it mean?

Is that bond taking a second to check Denise's behind when they are escaping the big blast in the bunker?

Wait a minute, m knows about Renard's plane, but not about Bond? Why doesn't she tell elektra Bond will be back soon instead of going to Baku?

They could've given Denise better lines than these. How is she going to come over as a nuclear physicist when they gave her these stupid lines to say. 'someones tampered with the bomb'. Really?

And I guarantee, I will not miss, says renard, to m, with a bullet in his head....

Goes to show that tree cutting helicopters are not the most efficient way of killing someone.

You know what happens when a man is strangled. Don't think they'd put that in a film these days

    The submarine line. Love it!

And the titles, after a not so soft landing on the millennium dome. Love them, very classic. Love the song too. Never understood why people think it isn't good. Far better than Sam Smith if you ask me.

I was a big fan of the group 'Garbage' at the time. Thought they were a perfect fit for Bond. But they didn't write the song themselves, its still good, but would have loved to hear what they could have done themselves. I think they would have gone for more of a rock song

Brosnan did an interview with Chris Evans at the time, and he teased Brossa over that moment!

Why didn't bond just immediately kill the crew on the submarine? These guys signed their death warrant anyway.

I love it how Bond knows the lay_out and escape hatches of a soviet submarine. The things you learn in spy school. Still, Denise in a wet t-shirt...

So, they kiss, and Bond has Christmas in turkey. And the last hours of 2023 are ticking away. Have a good 2024 everyone!

At some point I'll be back on here doing write ups, but I've been rather pre-occupied lately.
There's this astonishingly gorgeous girl............reminds me a little of Domino in THUNDERBALL.........and she's only seen a handful of 007 adventures. I'm helping her catch up.

Don't worry. I'm on the case. She also loves classic Hollywood movies: Bogie, Lana Turner, Bacall, Lana Turner, Marilyn, Lana Turner, .......did I mention she loves my favorite Lana Turner?
She's loving the Bonds, especially the lighthearted fun ones like DAF. She had only seen NTTD....which she enjoyed. i have a feeling 2024 may be a great year.
