If they were American clips I'm sure they were fine, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns. I've expanded the thread title.

You can put them back up if you like. I'm sure they were fine. This thread started out life as being about Shirley Ghostman but I expanded it over the years to a general comedy thread as I don't think we have one. So anything goes really.

My favourite stand-up comedian is Stewart Lee who I first discovered one night on BBC2 with the first episode of his stand-up series, Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle. back in 2009.

Stewart Lee's greatest inspiration (from Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle Series 1, 2009):

Stewart Lee on the harry Potter Books (Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle Series 1, 2009):

Stewart Lee - Content Provider - Dr Who Museum

Stewart Lee on Social Media (Content Provider)

Not a huge fan of his, but that last 'social media' post made me chuckle.

I once saw him do a scathing sketch about William Wallace (Braveheart) in front of a Scottish audience, which was brilliant.

Yes, Stewart Lee tends to deconstruct comedy and to treat stand-up comedy as an artform, as that last social media piece shows very well.

I think I have seen that sketch about William Wallace but the details of it escape me.
