Bond lyrics--best story, best lyric

in Music Posts: 532
As Bond films have changed over the years, so too has the approach to lyric writing. With the exception of DN, the Connery films all incorporated the titles into the lyrics and developed a story that more or less anticipated the film. Later films
haven't always featured such a clear story lyric, often for obvious reasons.

Two questions.
1-Which film features lyrics that most closely mirror the story?
2-Which film features the best lyrics? (May or may not be the same as question one.)
(If you want to throw the lyric you think most incomprehensible and inane, that's up to you.)

For me:
1-GF
2-Casino Royale

    1. Without listening to the song again to confirm, I think TMWTGG is spot on.
    2. YOLT is pretty good; YKMN is another good one.

    1. Goldfinger probably

    2. Nobody Does It Better - the Gold standard when discussing Bond....in fact the quintessential definition of the man and the film encapsulates and demonstrates it very well

Also 2. YKMN as well. Brilliant.

I agree with those saying that YKMN has got brilliant lyrics. They all reflect the movie's plot without directly mentioning any plot characters/elements

GF is the answer to both. Other great lyrics: We Have All the Time In the World and Diamonds Are Forever.
