Giving a shootout here to the lighter colours:

    - Lazenby entering the Portuguese hotel

    - Dalton interrogating Pushkin

But my favourite is probably this one from TWINE

Indeed, they are all good ones I must admit...

This also is a look that I would love to have ,DC in QOS :

Agreed, I actually think Craig was at his most Bondian in QOS to be honest. His attire, his acting, his movement and, surprisingly for such a serious film, his sense of humour.

He was also at his snobbiest in QOS and I think we've been missing that dearly in recent episodes.

I think its why QOS has shot up to 4th spot from 16th lately on my rankings, and you hit the nail on the head re his snobbery at the hotel and his actions and coolness as the film progesses.

Although I like SF and,to a lesser extent,SP, I do wish they kept DC's Bond going in the direction it was after QOS,and,as the gunbarrel at the end was supposed to do,close off that storyline and bring in independent, mission based films.

    Aaah well.....

Bond should always be cool, but never trendy. 007 is above trends. Trends can date a film fast, which is why early Connery pretty much remains timeless.
I'd say George's ruffled shirts with the black tie outfit was a strong example of a then current trend.
Tim's over-sized suits in LTK as well, and thankfully they didn't really go the Don Johnson route here with the white suits and pink t-shirts.
Craig's too tight SF suits are another great example. PB is a bit more timeless, especially in TWINE.
Thankfully Bond has kept his hair from following the trends of the day, otherwise we might have had Bond sport a Luke Skywalker do in TSWLM. A Patrick Swayze mullet in LTK, or a completely shaved head in SF.

His hair in SF is the worst haircut in the series. Looks like a central defender of a relegated Premier League side whose only quality is kicking the ball out of play.

I wonder if they were inspired by Bond's military haircut in the LALD novel? In the book he gets the buzz to look more American as it was the '50's. Today tons of guys have buzz cuts.
I was glad it was longer for SPECTRE. In a few years I'd bet that SkyFall will be one of the worst dated Bond films.

He does look a bit like Vinny Jones in SF...not his best look :

To be honest I liked Barry Nelson's CR crew cut better than Craig's. At least he had enough length on top to style.

    To answer the original question:

Sean Connery in Dr. No, most definitely.

Roger Moore in his Commander's uniform in TSWLM, if that counts?

it was the most distracting scene of the film, in a good way ;)

At least now Craig stands in a row to Ursula Andress and Halle Berry :P

Prefer Craig to Halle but not Ursula

Halle and Ursula for me. Craig's not my type.

I'm straight but Craig's entrance is definitely classier than Halle's. Also we get to see Solange on horseback ;)

Roger Moore's James Bond in Live and Let Die (1973) was pretty trendy in my book.

Loved Moore's outfit, at JFK airport and think Craig had his best suits in QOS.

Useless though she may have been in DAD, there's no denying she looked great, especially in that dressy number at the Ice Palace.

I'm totally torn between those three...maybe the only disadvantage of being able to love anybody :P

I agree @bondjames she is rather useless in DAD except in bed, there she seems rather useful to Bond :P
