Lazenby dubbing/ADR - Not Hilary Bray related

Just watched OHMSS.

Laz gets lots of criticism for his delivery but on closer inspection a high proportion of his lines sound like they've been added / altered in post - his voice seems notably more chipper / higher pitched, often in contrast to the mood of the scene. Take the bed scene on the balcony - it noticeable when his dialogue is dubbed later as ADR. often one line to another has a different sound giving an unnatural performance. "I can be a lot more persuasive Contessa" seems to have been recorded onset, whereas "Now who was he?" is different in tone.

Then theres all the quips we hear without seeing his mouth, clearly added later:
"he had lots of guts"
"Gatecrasher - Ill leave ou to tidy up"
"royal Beluga…"
"Maybe we can make up a foursome"
the list goes on -

Anyone else noticed this? Wonder why this extent of his dialogue appears to have been re recorded? Its adds to the unevenness of his performance

Hunt was the king of looping in the 60s.

There's definitely something 'off' about the sound mix in the movie that's for sure.

You've highlighted correctly where I noticed it as well.

I'm not sure of the details as to why this occured but it's surely noticeable.
