Author of the upcoming James Bond novel currently code-named "Project One" Anthony Horowitz attended a charity gala earlier this month for London's Air Ambulance. London's Air Ambulance is a medical helicopter crew responsible for saving the lives of over 30,000 Londoners over the past 25 years. As part of the auction, Horowitz auction off the opportunity to be written into the upcoming Bond novel as a character whose personality would mirror that of the highest bidder. The lot ended up producing the greatest contribution to the charity of the night. Read more about the book, London's Air Ambulance, and the event at the link:

A very worthy cause. My late uncle's life was saved by an Air Ambulance from Jersey to the mainland UK in 1999 after a heart attack. He died in 2013 aged 87.
  • Great stuff and for an excellent cause!
I'm still wondering which year the book will be set in and wether or not Sir Stirling will be driving the Aston Martin DBR1?
A lot to look forward to next year. I've just finished Horowitz's 'Moriarty' and although not quite as good as the phenomenal 'House Of Silk', I enjoyed it enormously and my hopes remain high that he'll do a good job.
Happy New Year to you literary aficionados!
