  • Coming from someone who’s not the tallest person, I really don’t like the prospect of a 5’7” Bond. Yes a variety of techniques can be used to get around this, but they aren’t always convincing. At 5’10, which I think is literally a stretch, Daniel p…
  • Production of a film, particularly a Bond film, is a tremendous undertaking and involves a myriad of entities; it is far more complicated than producing and marketing of a book. This is why I think that I see literary Bond ultimately being more viab…

  • I think that literary Bond will continue far beyond the cinematic Bond. I can see cinematic Bond taking a very long hiatus, eventually being revived by a new generation of filmmakers. Ironically I think it would be done as a period piece set in the …

  • When doing MI marathons prior to the release of a new entry, I’ve tried to rewatch MI:2 and can’t get past the first 20 or 30 minutes . Next time I’ll pass on it.
  • Ah well, variety is the spice of life; as with the Bond films we all have our favorites and through the years they’ve provided something for a range of tastes

  • This is an excellent analysis of MI:3 and why it was so important to the franchise.
  • Without a doubt Daniel is a stronger actor but I think the character needed someone with Hemsworth’s physical stature. All and all he’s do a very good job in the role.

  • Sean brings every bit of his considerable charm to the role of a scoundrel.

  • No doubt perceiving chemistry between two performers is subjective.
  • Venutius wrote: » Didn't Craig have final approval of his Bondgirls? He was certainly reported as having insisted on Eva Green and their chemistry was off the scale, so it's not as if he's unaware of that aspect. If Dan had the final say, he'd har…

  • ”JAWS” It’s a 4th of July tradition for me , and it never gets old.
  • I never felt the connection between Bond and Swann. For that matter I didn’t feel a drop of chemistry between Craig and Seydoux. Not to belabor my admiration for “ the receptionist “ from CR, but in their under a minute interaction, I felt more chem…
