  • Cubby had the books for his films. That was a huge advantage. It's very likely why CR is Craig's best Bond of his 4. I just don't think you can underestimate what an advantage that was.

  • I think it will be tough as hell to get the next Bond right. So many forces pulling at EON and the poor guy who will have to deliver. The last 2 films made $2 billion. Talk about pressure. Maybe the safer approach is indeed for EON to really go o…

  • I also read Greg Wilson's comment differently. It sounded to me that Craig was still Bond until EON was ready to say he wasn't. So if true, Strong better get some body guards because EON will want to kill him. EON and MGM would have wanted to ha…
  • I don't know. I think Craig's decision to do Purity is what makes me think he is done with Bond.

  • Since about 98% of what gets posted here is speculation, none of us know the status of so many major issues that will impact when 25 finally comes out. MGM is going to be desperate for money in negotiations for a new studio, where I'd think EON wan…
  • The sad thing about this growing circus about the next Bond is that if it was left up to Twitter, it would be Justin Bieber. I wish I was joking.

  • I liked SP @Tuulia, but still think you are right on all points. I too think Craig has been a great Bond, but he could really be risking his legacy with 25. Maybe best to leave Bond and hopefully find the great film roles that will show what he is c…

  • No studio would be more destructive to the long term creative health of Bond then Disney. They are a money factory with artistic decisions made by their accountants. Whatever mistakes EON has made over the years their control remains crucial to any…

  • The next Bond reboot will rise and fall on the script and the new Bond actor. If they are good, the role of M and the actor who plays him are not critical, and if EON goes for a reasonable budget, Fiennes and his high salary may not be worth keeping.
  • It looked like they were out to check all the trope boxes, only they were James Bond boxes, not Bourne boxes. Or maybe Fast and Furious boxes. The first 3 Bourne films were mostly great, stripped down, very tense thrillers. This trailer is Bourne…
