  • Mathis wasn't Le Chiffre's ally. Le Chiffre dropped his name after the car crash in order to confuse Bond and, assuming he was aware of Vesper's involvement with Quantum, put Bond's attention on Mathis and away from where it should have been, which…
  • I'd love to see plot twists make their way into the Bond franchise. As @Thunderpussy said, they flirted with the idea of one in FYEO and seemed to genuinely try for one in TWINE, only to botch it by making it evident early on that Elektra was invol…

  • Villeneuve is definitely a director I'd like to see taking on a Bond film. I'd also love to see EON hand the reigns over to David Fincher for a film or two.

  • Isaacs would have been terrific.
  • There's always the possibility that the "authoritative Bond sources", as the BBC puts it, weren't authorized to speak out on the matter at all. I would doubt they'd want to address it anyway. It's free publicity. The media is talking about Bond…
  • EON rarely, if ever, addresses tabloid reports or allows the media to dictate their timetable for announcing whatever it is that they need/want to announce. When they have something to announce, they'll announce it, regardless of what the media wan…

  • Haven't seen REC. Might have to check that one out. Saw part of its American remake, but didn't care much for it, even as someone who rather likes Jennifer Carpenter. I'll have to check out V/H/S as well. It's one of the many films that's been s…

  • I'm only in favor of a "one-and-done" if it's a former Bond, preferably Dalton, returning for a Never Say Never Again-type of film. Outside of that, I don't see it being a wise direction for the franchise to take.
  • I've never liked them as well. The only two that ever worked for me were The Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield. Other than that, they've uniformly terrible.
  • Good to see a producer actually fighting to make the film the right way as opposed to trying to cash-in on all the "found footage" nonsense that the studio was obviously going for. Between that and such a high-quality writer being involved on this …
  • As with the first trailer, this one also looks absolutely terrible. I hope this film's inevitable tanking at the box office doesn't kill off the franchise forever, but it, unfortunately, very well could.

  • Creasy47 wrote: » If it is true, that's a stupid amount of money. Indeed. It's actually more than the headline would indicate, as the story lists it as £68 million, which would come out to a total of $99,212,000. Stunning if true.
  • Murdock wrote: » I'm hesitant to believe it. The Daily Mail has been wrong before. As am I. He said he'd do it again for the money, but that would be a huge chunk of change to pass up.
  • I would definitely have to see this from a second source, but if that's true, then I'm quite stunned, to be honest. Oh well, guess the search for Bond #7 can begin in earnest now, assuming that this has some truth to it.

  • I think there's a decent chance it still comes out in November 2018. They've been meeting with potential leading men should Craig decide to hang it up, so they're ahead of the game so to speak in that regard. So far, we only know of two of them (t…
