  • Very atmospheric. As expected, upping the style quotient again, as they've been doing recently.
  • Congratulations on the 20th anniversary and a heartfelt thanks to everyone who created, maintains, administers and moderates this site. Thanks also to all the great members who I've had the pleasure of interacting with here over the years. An env…
  • Wow. Thanks @ClarkDevlin. I couldn't be happier about that figure. This one is definitely on my list, and Sean looks great!

  • Yes @talos7, you and @DaltonCraig007 have been proponents, and I'm coming around to him. He could do it I think, and bring back that 'lightness' which has been missing for some time now. Not sure about the accent though.

  • How about this guy? He's thrown his hat in the ring, and I and a few others think he would be a good choice, given his work on Ragnarok and Rush. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5355489/Chris-Hemsworth-confirms-hed-James-Bond-role.ht…
  • They can fix that @SeanCraig. Enthusiasm can be recreated with some ease because the character is a huge draw. There may be 'business' reasons (read MGM) why they may not do that this time around though.
  • You're right, it's not bad @JamesBondKenya. After all the effects were actually nominated for an Oscar. Perhaps I'm overly sensitive to this sort of thing and therefore felt like mentioning it as a caveat, but yes the CGI is reasonable.
  • My pleasure @chrisisall. I can't remember if you're one who is sensitive to excess CGI. I must caution you that there is a lot of it in this film and it's sometimes not of the highest quality (it varies). If you can live with that then you should en…
  • Kong: Skull Island (2017) One of my faves of last year, this hit the spot. The 2nd in Universal's Monsterverse shared universe films which includes Godzilla, this one is full of mindless fun with lots of shocking deaths, explosions and inexplic…

  • It's great to see that speech in its entirety again. I can just hear him enunciating each word to perfection as he delivered it in the film. A jaw dropping moment if there ever was one. What's great about that scene is how Kaffee plays him like a fi…
  • Agreed. It's one of my favourite court room style dramas. In some ways, I prefer it to The Firm.

  • @Mendes4Lyfe, I can assure you that the Olympics and 50th anniversary had limited impact in North America. It really had to do with word of mouth and good reviews. Both drove traffic into the theatre for SF and ultimately it became 'the film' to see…
  • @pachazo, I'm quietly confident that B25 will put to rest all my reservations since SP. At least I hope so! I'm actually looking forward to Solo based on the trailer. Like you I have zero (to negative) expectations so I'm sure it will end up bein…

  • I'm not too familiar with how this works, but my understanding is we have another 5 months delay before shooting begins again, with only half of the film shot to date. Presumably if they restart in June they can wrap it up before December. If so, B2…
