  • I'm convinced we'll get the film sooner or later. Season 8's ending CAN'T be the real end and I don't think the cast and crew will let it be the ending. Let's hope for the best
  • Bond needed to foil LeChiffree's plan to blow up Skyfleet so he could then set up the poker game. I see it as the most nessasary action in the film
  • That stinks. The only reason I was content with how Season 8 ended is because I thought we were getting a movie to tie up loose ends!
  • Even though they are clearly unhappy with Mendes not coming back, it's good to see them in good spirits about it. There are clearly no hard feelings between the three so hopefully Mendes will truly be back one day

  • As a Jew, I feel very out of the loop on a lot of stuff lately. Oh well :)
  • Some people here are very biased against Americans having to do anything with Bond it seems. Not everybody but defiantly some. EON has not gone out of their way to hire an American, it's just they've never gotten the job. I remember with DAD that th…

  • Wow this really was last minute. It seems as though he was THIS close to coming back. Well best of luck to Barbara and Michael to get a great director!
  • I don't think they're reluctant to hire one of us Americans. I just think they've never seen one right for the job. As for the whole Cubby/Speilberg thing. I can understand not hiring him after Jaws as that was a very troubled production and I'm sur…
  • Thanks @Tuulia. I'll have to check out some of his films. Well it seems for the last two films we've had "interesting" directors and one turned out well and one turned out bad so it'll be interesting to see what EON is thinking
  • I'm not a fan of Hooper so no thanks. Campbell returning would be a dream but I just don't think he wants to. Which is perfectly fine as his two Bond films rank among the very best. I love the Sherlock Holmes films so Guy Ritchie would be fine wi…

  • Very proud to be a part of a great group of dedicated Bond fans. Cheers all!
  • I think we're past the point of a Bond director HAVING to not be American to direct. I believe EON will just choose the best person for the job. As an American studying film to become a director...I would hope EON are not still biased against Americ…
  • Really wish Speilberg had gotten his chance. Luckly we got Indy instead but I wonder if he'd be interested now. I know he has said he's done with action but maybe after seeing what Mendes did and he obviously has a great working relationship with Cr…
  • Yes thank you to all the mods. There are some really pathetic people in this world aren't there? Oh well
  • Nice to see him speak out on it. It won't stop the tabloids from still speculating him though. The hunt is on that's for sure

  • Wow very well thought out. I love DAF but hate Gray's Blofeld. Very interesting indeed
  • January 11, 2011 was the first "official" comfirmation of Mendes, Logan, and the release date. If we are getting this film in 2014, that's already behind schedule. Although Skyfall is a different story because of the MGM stuff. Hope we hear somethin…
  • I'd love to see what Newman could bring to a 2nd Bond score. But I'd also be ok with Arnold coming back to see what he can do after a break. I guess it depends who the director will be. Really hope this is announced soon
  • A trip to NYC last summer resulted in a lot of broadway shows. Saw Matthew Brodrick in his show then met him and took a picture after. He was very tired but still willing to take a picture. The next night I saw the show "The Best Man" which start…
  • Hmmm he left the Planet of The Apes sequel to do that film so that "other commitment" must be a good one. I'd have no problem with him. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a terrific film that defied all expectations I had for it
  • Witt is defiantly the best 2nd Unit action director in the business today. Of course his directing debut was less than stellar (one of the Resident Evil movies). But as of right now I don't see EON promoting from within. At least not for this film
  • Samuel001 wrote: Dan Bradley. Though he did the shaky-cam Bourne films, he also did the latest Mission: Impossible and that really worked out well. He has also done Spider-Man 2 & 3 as well as Superman Returns and Indy IV. I don't kn…
  • I'm not against Hooper because he has no action experience. I'm against him because I don't like his style of direction. Unlike Mendes, who's films I love. Kings Speech was very good but it was overrated and certainly not deserving of Best Picture t…
