  • There's barely any sex in movies anymore, which is strange because imagine if characters no longer ate anything in movies, or never got into arguments. It would seem very weird and unhumanlike. In many ways Mary Whitehouse was ahead of her time.

  • I suspect from now on, we'll only get a new Bond film when Babs and Co feel it is the right time for one, since there is nothing pressuring them anymore. Even though this isn't ideal, and we'd all love to see consistent films being released, at the …

  • I honestly thought GF was the worst of the fleming books, besides TMWTGG. I much prefer the novels he wrote as a younger man, before he became too melancholic with age.
  • Youtube is reporting the budget of Ridley Scott's gladiator 2 has hit 310 million. With the boxoffice being the way it is, are we looking at yet another major financial flop, or could we see a Top Gun: Maverick style belated success story to top off…
  • Might seem a little out of left field, but hear me out, some fans have been saying for years they want a return to the more hardboiled feel of the early connery films, who better for that in this age than Shane Black? I think "the nice guys" migh…
  • To be fair more people saw MI:7 in cinemas than, say, MI:3. It wasn't a complete disaster, just Fallout set the bar very high, plus a sizable chunk of the budget for Dead Reckoning was due to covid costs. With a 400 million budget that puts MI:8 …
  • Vin Diesel just dropped a picture on the set of Fast 11, a movie that doesn't release until 2026. I think It might be time we stop holding out hope that Bond 26 is being released in 2 years when we haven't even heard news of a writer or director …
  • When you see how Gen Z develop fascinations with kitsch things from the past, such as Wednesday Addams, you begin to think Bond could explode in popularity in the next few years.

  • The ultimate one true cause is that films have been playing it extremely safe for over a decade, and the pandemic woke people up to that reality. When you look at Fast X, Thor Love and Thunder, The Flash, The Little Mermaid, Aquaman 2, Ghostbuster F…
  • I agree with most of that except I don't think Bond 26 will be dropping in the vicinity of Batman Part 2. Its basically June now and if a new Bond era were launching in 2 years and change I think we'd know something about it by now. IMO it's far mor…

  • Furiosa made just 25 million over the 3 day weekend with a projected 4 day weekend of 31 million on a budget of 168 million. Those aren't good numbers. I'm almost glad we don't have a Bond film dropping in the current climate, its a dreary time for …

  • Whelp, it's official. Furiosa was expected to rake in 40 - 45 million over the 4 day memorial weekend, and it looks like it's going to be closer to 31 - 33 million. Movies simply aren't doing great right now, and along with IF and The Fall Guy it's …
