  • @Getafix I agree that QoS is his best Bond score but it is also one of the least 'Bondian' scores ever. I am struggling to recite any Bond theme in the score, save for the end gun barrel. Maybe a little in the car chase at the beginning but otherwis…
  • @bondjames Yes, the score and production design are top notch (even if they both err a bit too much towards Wall-E) but the film has some serious narrative problems. Spoiler for Passengers - (Spoiler)
  • @BondJames The soundtrack for Passengers is far better than the film deserves.
  • @CrzChris4 Leap of Faith from EoN is a bloody great level, when you jump off the side, the camera pulls back before catching up, and the Bond theme kicks in. Yes, highly farfetched (how tall is the side of that mountain...?) but so much fun to…

  • @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 We see that at the beginning with the coffins covered in Union Jack flags. I think it would have been a bit unnecessary to show that, especially as there weren't any civilians injured by the tube crash. You see them all evac…

  • What is the Pre-Titles sequence with the least amount of spoken words? I would guess at either LALD or Spectre, maybe FRWL thinking about it....
  • Such very sad news. The world has lost a Bond and an icon.

  • I feel Spectre actors will be featuring a lot in this discussion. Waltz, Seydoux, Bautista and Bellucci... all wasted.
  • Some_Kind_Of_Hero wrote: » Ah, don't you mean all "spectrecle"? ;) Ha! Ridley is such a good director, but as many others have said, Scott is only as good as the script he has. Scott can shoot the hell out of a great script. See Alien…
  • @bondjames The MI-RN bike chase is short but oh so sweet. And I do like the car chase that precedes it. Skyfall had a little bit of a motorbike chase which was pretty cool as well. Especially them driving over the rooftops.
  • Well, John Logan is responsible for the omnishambles script of Spectre.... so that doesn't inspire hope. He's messed up one major franchise, so how about another... Having seen Covenant, its a lot like Spectre. All spectacle, no substance.
  • There is only one.... Emily Blunt ;)
  • @bondjames I agree on the bike chase. A cracking little sequence, I like the overhead shots of them driving over the rooftops with the Helicopter chasing. A decent motorbike chase in the next movie would be good.
  • @SJK91 I can agree with most of that. I have a few issues with TND. I dislike Bond's over hostile first meeting with Carver - he should be investigating Carver and Bond pretty much accuses him there and then, having first met him. I also disli…

  • @octofinger I'd argue the opposite. More Nine Eyes. Flesh it out more, have it as an actual presence in the movie that hinders Bond's progression.
