  • I liked TFA, TLJ, Mando, and Obi-Wan. That’s about it. To be fair, I’m not really interested in the other shows.
  • Can lightning strike thrice? Will he be able to live up to expectations set by films he made so long ago? Imagine the crushing disappointment.
  • Gunn is probably the most right guy for Superman that we have gotten since Donner. Him posting that cover of ALL STAR SUPERMAN to represent what he’s aiming for gives me hope.
  • I don’t think JJ will ever come back after TROS. He ended up making a movie everyone can agree was below par. I personally enjoyed it in theaters, but I do agree that it ranks among the weakest of the saga.

  • This is actually Phase 5. Phase 4 ended with WAKANDA FOREVER.

  • At most Lex Luthor should only be a side character like he is in TAS while Superman has to fight a much bigger bad.

  • If we can accept a blond Daniel Craig as James Bond, what exactly is stopping a black actor from taking that role? We’ve already crossed that line of sticking close to how Fleming described Bond a long time ago. I do think if you were to do a bla…
  • I always felt the first two films had the humor and drama wayyyy too disparate in a way that they kind of clashed with each other. With 3, I think James Gunn balanced it perfectly.
  • Huh, that’s a good two minutes longer than NTTD. Sorry to those who bemoan for the days of 120 or below runtime.

  • Donner did sorta answer that. With 2, he would have worked with Mankiewicz on writing a new ending that replaces Superman spinning the Earth back. That’s another reason why I think the Donner Cut should only serve as a curiosity, since it’s only a t…
  • Can’t express enough how surprised I was by how much GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 moved me. I’m not that high on the first two. They’re fine, but I always felt they were too irreverent to work emotionally. James Gunn got the balance so much better…

  • Right. And when they’re attacking the lodge he had to remind his goons “she’s mine”, because him killing her personally was more important than one of his goons doing the deed. That’s why when he sees her mortal wound he starts freaking out. Silva w…
  • Here’s why I don’t mind Bond dying: It reinforces his mortality. He can have all the luck in the world at the card table and escape impossible odds on the field, but death WILL come for him. James Bond isn’t a fairy tale. I think what NTTD emphasize…
  • A cliffhanger would have only worked if Craig not only had a different film from NTTD but an entirely different run of films. As it was, there was way too much baggage with Craig’s Bond that I wouldn’t have wanted with the new Bond.

  • My head canon had always been that all the Bonds had similar adventures in their past. Even with Craig, he probably had a ton of adventures between QOS and SF similar to the Bond films we saw. It’s not exactly 1:1, because Craig couldn’t have faced …
  • We’ve had Judi Dench play M in two separate continuities. Who’s to say Desmond Llewelyn didn’t do that in five? ;) Given that the first 20 films are mostly standalone, it doesn’t really matter if they’re portraying the same exact iteration of Bon…
