  • A lot of the deaths in KOTCS have been indirect but still done by Indy’s actions. Like when that test rocket fires off and torches a group of Russkies in the process. That might have been the most brutal death aside from the one guy that gets devour…
  • Indy not actively killing people seems like a weird thing to be hung up about. It’s not like Indy has a license to kill. But I never had much of a bloodlust when it came to Indy. If I wanted to watch a hero kill people left and right I would watch C…
  • I think he was alluding to slide_99 constantly chiming in on the quality of NTTD without ever having actually seen it.
  • Good call. I like this Indy moment.
  • How dare you like a film you enjoy?! Especially one by Kathleen Kennedy! I heard on YouTube that she once announced plans to reduce the male sex into slave labor for breeding stock! Why do you support misandry???

  • Justin Hurwitz would be a solid choice @jetsetwilly!
  • Nah, Arnold’s score is what kept CR from being better. He should have been left behind like Vic Armstrong and other Brosnan era elements. My least favorite part of his score is when Bond realizes Vesper’s treachery and Arnold decides to score Bond’s…
  • David Arnold already did five scores. Let’s keep looking for new blood. No reason to look backwards. I’d love to hear Ludwig Göransson‘s take on a Bond score.
  • Eyyyyy let’s leave the politics out of it. Bond topics are already heated as is. :D

  • Ever since early days of VHS, the studios NEVER liked the idea of consumers “owning” a physical copy. They rather that consumers keep paying up like a rental. They only ever dived into the home media market begrudgingly because there was profit to b…
  • The Academy’s biggest issue is actually being run by decrepit actors/producers in a bubble who lost touch with audiences. They need a big shakeup in a similar way they got back in 1970 when MIDNIGHT COWBOY won best picture and changed everyone’s …

  • AstonLotus wrote: » Genuinely surprised you guys never heard about the new rules. It’s not a joke. I already knew about it. It doesn’t seem to be a major concern for OPPENHEIMER.
  • INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR came out a month ago by Sony and despite making $185m on a $14m budget, it’s already available on digital. NTTD came out Sep 30/Oct 8th, then one month later hits digital before finally getting a physical release on December.…
  • *Looks up the channel of the video Aston posted. Channel prominently features Bill O’Reilly in its banner*

  • It’s a somber film that I’ve felt mixed about. I still liked it more than not, but I didn’t know where to land with this one by the time it ended. I missed Spielberg and Lucas’ whimsical sensibilities. I do look forward to revisiting this one on blu…
  • It’s too bad that a lot of the great practical effects used in the prequels tend to be overshadowed by the narrative that much of it is CGI.
  • One thing that is nice about the remix is that John Williams’ score was remastered so it had a “cleaner” sound to it compared to the original stereo. But you can also tell from the remix that the “whoosh” sound effects of the credits are given more …

  • Eon won’t cast someone a director doesn’t want.
  • Nolan fully understands that he wouldn’t be top dog on a Bond film like on his usual productions. He has spoken about this already with his familiarity with Eon, and has even experienced it to an extent in regards to Batman.
  • Did he ghost direct TOP GUN? As far as I know, that was all in the can before the pandemic started. That movie was supposed to be a Summer 2020 release, so it didn’t have the kind of production issues that has impacted the two MI films.
  • For what it’s worth, he’s a member of this forum @hegottheboot_ . I had a lot of fun talking about the 2015 4K transfers of the Bond films with him, regarding how much the new transfers were an improvement to the blu-rays, and what they could do to …
  • It’s ultimately Eon’s call in the end, but all past directors have had a say in the casting process.
  • When LucasFilm remastered the Star Wars films in 4K they actually made sure the color timing would match the original release (something the DVDs were criticized for not doing right). I would hope that lesson stuck with them when remastering Indy (t…
