  • Agreed @DaltonCraig007, Charles Dance in GoT was awesome, you just couldn't look elsewhere when he was on the screen. Great actor with huge presence.
  • @DaltonCraig007, some people seem to like him. I used to work in a DVD shop part-time and people would actually ask for Adam Sandler films! Also one 'friend' recommended that I watch Elf with Will Ferrell in. What a crock of sh*t! Time I'll never ge…
  • Can't believe how Adam Sandler became a 'star'. Really bloody annoying…and not funny. Stop now @DaltonCraig007 if you value your sanity! Oh and if anyone recommends an AS film…punch him.

  • Originally there was an October release date mentioned but shortly afterwards it was changed to the November date. That's the one to go for.
  • @timmer and @OHMSS69, I think I will have to dig out my copy of 'Salem's Lot and have a re-read sometime soon. Loved it on first reading many, many moons ago now.
  • @bondjames, I've seen all the Jurassic films when they first came out. Remember feeling disappointed with 3. The woman was really annoying and the end seemed rushed. Did like the terrasaurs though.

  • Wow! Jurassic World seems to be dividing opinion. It's either brilliant or a huge steaming pile of dino poop! Don't know wether to go and see it myself now…
  • Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell - read the book when it first came out quite a few years ago. Loving this BBC drama, Marc Warren is most excellent, as are the rest of the cast. Brilliantly done, think I'm actually enjoying the TV version more than t…
  • And the annoying thing is that dub could have been fixed as there is film of Bernard Lee actually saying MI6 in an original featurette made at the time. Shame they didn't fix that. Generally don't like films being messed with but I could put up with…
  • Dr No and Goldfinger - double bill at Vue Cinema Plymouth. Damn good to see these oldies on the big(ish) screen. Although I'd seen Goldfinger in a cinema before, this was a first for Dr No. Really enjoyed it. Just wish FRWL was in this Best of Bond …

  • He was the best thing about TMWTGG, also appeared in my favourite Hammer Horror: The Devil Rides Out. A much loved actor who will be sorely missed. RIP.

  • Deadlier Than The Male - blu-ray: Network - The British Film
  • DrGorner wrote: » Watched " Deadlier than the male" 60s camp Bondish type adventure about Bulldog Drummond. Dated but fun. :D Just order the blu-ray from Network Distribution in their The British Film imprint. Can't wait to see it
  • Am going to see Dr No on the big screen on Sunday, in a 4K presentation. Will keep an eye-out for the three blind mice, not noticed that before, most of the other stuff had picked up on. Great thread by the way.
  • @haserot The Pacific is a bit different to BoB, focusing more on the personal stories of each character, and in one episode there is no fighting at all. Still good but BoB has the edge - I think it has more interesting characters and situations.

  • Just finished Stephen King's excellent Mr Mercedes and have just started The Axeman's Jazz by Ray Celestin. A fictional detective story set in New Orleans in 1919, but based on true events.
  • Have to say @DaltonCraig007, I think Arnie's too old now and I don't think those two characters meeting again would be good - look what happened to the Terminator films!
  • Yes @DarthDimi, Predators is a great film, but I don't like the AvP films at all. And if they do anymore Predator films they really need to have a good script first. Oh, and a great cast.
  • Predator Trilogy on blu-ray. Thee films on blu-ray for £7.99 and none of the awful AvP films - what's not to like? Haven't seen Predator 2, so hope it worth a watch.
  • Predator Trilogy - blu-ray. Predator is a slice of 80s cheese with the ham sliced thick. This testosterone fuelled action flick could have been a complete disaster if not for the skilled direction of one John McTiernan (and thankfully Stan Winstone'…
  • What a shame, @Mallory, that sounds like a good idea. Can't believe they wouldn't want to sell tickets to all showings - madness!
