  • Funny enough, I strongly preferred Frozen Empire over Afterlife, even though it was still very flawed. Just found it fresher and more entertaining. The first two films are the only ones I personally own, though, and I don’t really see that changing.
  • I won’t notice many differences in 4K vs. Blu-Ray in anything until I’m given a side by side, and even then sometimes it’s hard for me. My eyes just aren’t good I guess xP but still, just having hi-def over 480 does make a lot of difference. I certa…

  • Thanks for spoiler-tagging, though I did already read myself elsewhere about the CG thing just because I had to know once that disappointing thing got brought up in so many reviews. I’m working my way through the whole series (not counting AVP), jus…
  • I can’t blame people for picking 2 as their favorite. It’s the most balanced of the bunch, and has my favorite of the main villains. I still go with 1 as my favorite, because of the emotion and simplicity of it, plus it really stands out in a good w…

  • Looks like an excellent selection, although ashamedly I haven’t seen many of those titles. I already have the standard 4K for Shape of Water, but I’m tempted to double dip just for the Criterion label because it’s one of my absolute most beloved mov…

  • Assuming we’re still a long way away from Bond 26, anytime from now until then is the perfect time to start dropping the physical 4Ks (they HAVE to come someday, right?). I wouldn’t even mind buying them individually if that’s what it takes; I assum…

  • The original Wicker Man’s definitely one of my favorite horror movies ever, and probably the one I’d consider the very best in the sub-genre of cult and pagan horror films. Everything about it clicked for me. The remake was pretty painful, as much a…

  • @GoldenGun My condolences to you and everyone who knew her. I wish you all the best in this very difficult time.

  • From a creative standpoint, I hope the game comes first. It's way more likely the game would take inspiration from the new movie versus the other way around, and I'd like the game to be as unique as it can be. I also happen to think it's probably mo…

  • Jinx. She had a good sense of humor about dying that would make the moment much more pleasant, while Stacey would just keep screeching.
  • Le Cercle Rouge (1970). An incredible, classic film that demands attention from the very start and never lets go. Jansen was my favorite character. The heist sequence was of course the biggest highlight, but the action and suspense was consistent an…
  • Repo Man (1984). Boy, was this one a wild ride. The last 20ish minutes is some of the funniest, craziest stuff I've ever seen in a movie. I wasn't initially sure how I felt about it for the first half or so, but it was impossible to look away and I …
  • The Martian is good, but not one I care to really rewatch. Haven't seen John Carter, did not like Ghosts of Mars. It's Total Recall (obviously the Arnie version) for me!
  • Thanks guys! I see I at least ruffled several feathers with O Brother haha, perhaps someday I’ll give it another go. I thought I might also take some flak for a too high ranking of The Hudsucker Proxy (admittedly flawed and maybe objectively a “mixe…
