  • I generally like Craig, but I certainly wouldn't call his acting subtle or even particularly deep. And when he's less engaged in the material, he comes off like a mobile wax figure.

  • Murdock wrote: » Oh gosh, I never saw it that way before. I'll never be able to watch that scene the same way again. :)) Needless to say, I prefer the low-key approach in FYEO when the Lotus explodes.
  • barryt007 wrote: » I dont mind the DB5 in SF because at least it has a purpose,a reason for being there,in that it gets Bond to Skyfall, blasts loads of mercenaries to oblivion, and gets blown to crap by Silva because he knows how much it means to B…

  • Univex wrote: » Probably because there won't be a delay. Not a significant one at least. That being said, just rewatched Baby Driver and I now hope Wright has the job. Based on that car chase alone... Also, he could put on his journeyman director…
  • I like Noyce but would prefer Roger Donaldson if they're going for a veteran. Donaldson was already offered one of the Brosnan movies (may have been TWINE).
  • MakeshiftPython wrote: » Edgar Wright is probably the name I'd find most exciting attached to a Bond film since ever. Would make it ironic too given he left ANT-MAN during pre-production. Wright will never commit to a Bond movie, especially…
  • Pierce2Daniel wrote: » Jean-Marc Vallee may be too busy. But David Mackenzie and Yann Demange could accept. Didn't EON already string Demange along for a month or two, only to drop him when Boyle got interested? He's not coming back.
  • I've seen Stuart Baird mentioned as a possible replacement. He'd be great. I thought EXECUTIVE DECISION (which Baird directed) was one of the best action thrillers of the '90s, and Baird did solid work as an editor on CR and SF.

  • I was actually impressed with how well they were able to pull together QOS considering the limited amount of time and the writer's strike. Maybe every other year is the way to go -- they seem to work better under time constraints, barring the Brosna…
  • I loved HAYWIRE and enjoyed LOGAN LUCKY, and would be thrilled to see Soderbergh take the reins of a Bond movie .... BUT ... he has a habit of bringing in his own writer(s) to overhaul scripts before he goes into production, and that can be a …
  • I have the upmost respect for Barbara Broccoli and MGW. I just wish they would stop kowtowing to Craig.
  • I give TWINE a slight edge over SF because Sophie Marceau is excellent and so much better than what's happening around her (script, direction, the other performances). Honestly, though, I haven't been able to sit through either movie since I saw …
  • I suspect that if one were to do a random poll, they would find that people are much more excited about seeing a Bond 25 with a new Bond actor than they would a Bond 25 starring the guy who has been around for twelve years. ... which I think is t…

  • Well, Hemsworth can't act, can't carry a movie, and has no box office draw if he's not playing Thor. Other than that -- no, I have no doubts.
  • talos7 wrote: » All right then, a relaunch with a new actor. Campbell +. Hemsworth + Arnold My vote would be Hiddleston with Susanne Bier directing and Steven Knight writing.
