  • I'm not entirely sure which Bond film I saw first. Possibly THE SPY WHO LOVED ME, which my parents recorded on Beta cassette from a TV airing. NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN was the first one I saw in a theater. (2) - Doctor No (0) - From Russia With …
  • I'm guessing the majority of time spent at the Norway shoot consisted of cast and crew waiting around for script pages.
  • Is Allen still directing? I thought his career as a filmmaker was pretty much over.
  • I like Johansson as well, although I think she's gotten more confident in the role as the writers have slowly figured out what to do with her (she's a blank slate in her first MCU appearance, the mediocre IRON MAN 2). The prequel idea sounds unne…

  • The full report will be released. And if it ends up a big nothing burger (my prediction), rest assured that the usual suspects will be back here telling us the whole thing was taken out of Mueller's hands and doctored by the evil Republicans. *ya…

  • I am eagerly awaiting the contents of a report that will prove -- beyond a shadow of a doubt -- that Trump sleeps with call girls and eats at McDonald's.

  • Great piece from Jonathan Cook about the report: "Three Lessons for the Left from the Mueller Inquiry" https://www.counterpunch.org/2019/03/25/three-lessons-for-the-left-from-the-mueller-inquiry/ What Mueller found – all he was ever going t…

  • An independent investigation that concluded there was NO EVIDENCE of collusion between Trump and the Kremlin to influence the election. But yes, because some clown on a movie message board believes the evidence is "out there in plain sight," we'v…

  • I still love DR and FRWL (my favorite Bond film) and can watch them any time, but I've never been amazed by the other three (yes, even GF). To be honest, I would much rather spend time with Moore's films.
  • NicNac wrote: » Eon can’t rely on just fans to make Bond successful. Making every Bond a prestige project for the masses -- basically, trying to do SKYFALL over and over again -- will have diminishing returns. Better to market to a loyal fa…

  • @4EverBonded Oh, okay. I thought you were hinting at your admiration for two utterly loathsome politicians and assumed you had lost your mind. Carry on.

  • ONCE UPON A SPY sounds like ONCE UPON A CRIME, which was an unwatchable John Candy/Cybill Shepherd comedy. I find it annoyingly twee. There are so many better titles they could use.
  • How about one of Fleming's proposed titles for Moonraker: WIDE OF THE MARK That sounds about right for this project.

  • I think Cavill has gotten better as an actor over the past few years. EON will never hire him, though -- he's too associated with other franchises (Superman, Mission Impossible).
  • GANGS OF NEW YORK was a flop, didn't get great reviews, and, frankly, it sucks.
  • Denbigh wrote: » As a fellow training scriptwriter, I'm more than excited to see what Scott Z. Burns brings to the script. The eventual film we got in Rogue One was full of heart and great character moments. Just go watch the introduction of Diego…
  • I've never really been sold on Burns's amazing abilities as a writer. If you've read about the making of CONTAGION, you already know that Soderbergh had to remove around 45 minutes of footage from his initial cut because the story simply wasn't work…
