  • I love them both. Goldfinger, for its iconography and brisk pace; Thunderball, for its sweeping, lush atmosphere (and Fiona Volpe). I never found the latter slow - probably because it makes such great use of its locations that I'm absorbed by them. …

  • LALD OP TSWLM Good films. The rest are all pretty poor and interchangeable. I will have to have a think about them.

  • Lane was a great villain in both films, for sure. There is also a case to be made that there were was more than a "hint of attraction" in Rogue Nation between Ethan and Ilsa. She quite literally asked him to run away with her.
  • I never came back to it after the coma seasons. Although I have rewatched some of the earlier seasons a fair bit.
  • I'm finding it hard to understand why people online have an issue with the VFX in the clip. Looks perfectly good to me.

  • I had a fantastic time with Evil Dead Rise. It takes a bit of time to get moving but once it does it is relentless and the last 20-25 minutes or so are filled (quite literally) with Raimi-visual goodness. The trailer made me feel that it was goin…

  • The fifth one was the peak for me. It felt like a natural conclusion for the characters arc-wise and a reasonable (though still requiring suspension of disbelief) limit on excess. Ever since then, they've been pushing the bar. I enjoyed the seven…
  • I know hackers often take issue with how that stuff is often represented on film, mainly because the reality is dull as dishwater. Maybe they can find a way to sex up AI.
  • I remember the articles saying the SF would be an almost action-less Bond film, which was equal incredible and hilarious. Then the teaser trailer came out.
