  • @peter But if this is true that the rumour about his 2022 screen test is probably true, too. And if this is true, they likely have a script and a director, and it’s just that we don’t know about it yet. Maybe they don’t want to announce the direc…
  • @SIS_HQ Will they pick the Bond actor before the director? You are right, they won’t. But it’s entirely possible that they will announce the director and the actor at the same event.

  • Does anyone know when exactly in 2005 did DC sign on to play Bond? I can't find that info online. I would like to know how many days/weeks before he was officially announced did he sign the contract.

  • Crazy idea: EON should hire both Villeneuve and Nolan two create two different Bond 26 movies and then release them in the same year, like a month or so apart (Bond 26A and Bond 26B). Battle of the Bonds!

  • Even people who dislike Nolan have to admit that if Nolan were hired to write and direct, the hype would be insane.

  • I never understood the “director X is expensive! EON cannot afford them!” argument. Bond movies are among the highest budget movies. EON can afford any director.
  • Hoyte van Hoytema just won an Oscar for Oppenheimer!! Huge congrats!

  • @peter This recent Cillian Murphy rumour is completely new to me! It's probably BS, but it would make sense if Nolan were the director and his pitch involved a middle aged Bond.
  • I know that the producers usually shy away from anything topical, but the Russian invasion of Ukraine being part of the plot of Bond 26 would be great. Sure, many would say that it's propaganda but so what? Even if it were propaganda, a propaganda m…
  • I don't think it's a good strategy to explicitly chase a young audience, especially considering how rapidly both North America and Europe are ageing.

  • Honestly, I believe that if not Nolan, then Villeneuve would be the best choice to direct Bond 26. And I say that even though I really really want Denis to make Rendezvous with Rama next.
