  • EON didn’t need to screentest others to decide they wanted Craig. Sure they screen tested some others but only to placate MGM.
  • Barbara Broccoli talking about the time before Craig signed the contract: “We really wanted him. We only wanted him.” Me now, talking about the great Chris Nolan: “I really want him. I only want him.”
  • EON doing nothing for over two years then asking P&W to write the script would be a truly hellish nightmare scenario. The thought of this being a possible scenario genuinely fills me with pure terror.

  • @peter Why I think that at this point Nolan is more likely to direct than Villeneuve: - "Where there's smoke, there's fire" -> ATJ likely really is the frontrunner - but they don't start the Bond actor selection until a director is on board a…

  • One of my favourite Hollywood journalists, Jeff Sneider talked about the ATJ rumour on the Hot Mic podcast today. Interestingly, even though he believes the Sun article is complete BS, he does believe ATJ is the frontrunner.
  • ATJ is clearly very comfortable giving interviews. And he seems to be much more comfortable in his own skin than Craig. And I am saying this as a big Daniel Craig fan!
