  • This might be somewhat a controversial opinion, but even if EON are looking to widen Bond's viewership to current generations (which I think they are and can do very easily), we have to keep in mind that 12-16 year olds are such a small part of that…

  • It's a bit obvious and it brings us back into the cycle of old topics that aren't very interesting but I'll say it. Indiana Jones isn't the same as Bond. Bond gets new actors, updates itself to each new decade, and has managed to 'reinvent' itsel…

  • Oh I like his Spiderman. Just not sure about him as Bond (or even in Uncharted frankly).
  • Turner’s moustache is really stealing the show in that trailer. I think he looks a bit like Mike Wozniak with it.

  • Maybe I’m a bit more optimistic, or perhaps my interactions with ‘younger people’ tend to be more with people in their 20s than mid teens (and people who share similar interests to me), but I’d say it’s worth remembering we live in a world where so …

  • If riffing on ideas or using similar plot points to your contemporaries/works that came before was a sign of a lack of quality then Shakespeare wouldn’t be considered a great writer. I don’t think it’s a big deal when it comes to Bond either.

  • It’s interesting how different people’s views can be about a single film! I watched SF last night and the friend I was with actually commented on how well it’s held up. The story’s wonderfully engaging with Bond having to find his way again after hi…

  • I feel we need a specific prediction thread about Bond 26 at this rate! It’ll be funny seeing in hindsight some of the things many of us come out with/what turns out to be right and wrong (and incidentally I’d say I’ve made some pretty spectacularly…
  • I suppose it depends on when Bond 26 gets going, but I think it seems like a bit of a tall order for Villeneuve to do Dune 3 and that one, considering how involved in pre-production and casting the director is for Bond. I’m fine not getting Villeneu…
  • I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who hasn’t heard of James Bond. Quite a few who haven’t watched the films, and a few who don’t like them. But it’s a bit like not knowing who Dracula or Sherlock Holmes is. It might be a very vague bit of pop cultu…
