  • I’ve always felt the final fight between Bond and Green could have been much so better. As it is, Green isn’t a physical match for Bond, and even with an axe it’s pretty obvious he’s not going to win the fight. I think if Green had played a dirty…

  • Anyone have any predictions who the next actor to get caught up in the rumour mill/tabloids for Bond will be? I feel they'll go back to a classic like Idris Elba or Aidan Turner before another completely random name is thrown about... promptly follo…

  • Seeing as it’s Friday I presume an announcement from EON about ATJ becoming Bond and Nolan as the director are imminent? 🤔 Or did ATJ forget to call them back?
  • On my most recent rewatches, I must say I have a lot of admiration for Lewis Gilbert’s directing. I guess YOLT has gone up in my opinion of it then. SP definitely has its moments though. Probably YOLT by a hair, but it depends on my mood.

  • Elba and Cavill are popular. They've both been in television shows which have good reviews and fan followings. They've both been in some popular films amongst the flops. Generally both are considered likeable offscreen. People definitely know who th…
  • Well, the thing about Idris Elba is he's actually quite popular as an actor. His film career has been... well not great, to put it lightly, but he was in Luther which obviously hit the right notes with the British (and even some of the American) pub…

  • GF. While I need to give it a rewatch at some point TWINE isn't my favourite Bond movie, needless to say!
  • It depends on the actor. Often times films that are financial failures or disappointments aren't bad (on the contrary, sometimes very great and interesting films flop) and even in 'bad' films an actor can deliver a worthy and critically praised perf…

  • I think if anything it points to the fact that there is very much an official process for auditions, even with a clear front runner. They don’t just pick an actor and give them a three picture deal (at least not beyond the days of Roger Moore). D…
