Hey, thanks for getting the trivia game rolling.

I'm busy on the 12th until 5pm, if you wanted to do an evening thing, but I could do the 13th or the 20th.

I love this cover, thanks. Great early footage can be seen in the documentary that came out a few years back; LAMBER & STAMP.

Just been listening to a documentary regarding Pete Townshend and his work on the '75 film, Tommy, in which he discussed his work in the editing suites with Terry Rawlings - he of GoldenEye fame. I must look into the relationship between Rawling's and Pete!

Thanks, a connection between one of my all time favorite bands and my favorite character. I went into the theate in '74 an Elton John fan and emerged a Who fan.

You had my interest in your remarks until you had to close by throwing an elbow, or cheap shot. DON'T TELL ME I'M BEING OVERLY SENSITIVE.
You are being condensending (sp) and patronizing. I don't need that crap from you. Don't do that, I'm way too old for that. And I always considered you one of the more mature and level headed people on these discussions.

I refuse to air this disagreement in public on the forum but I choose to discuss this with you on a more personal man to man level.

However did you trap Mr. Burton inside your picture profile? That must have been hard going.

Riley Martin. He died the day before last. He was a regular on the Howard Stern and Art Bell radio shows over the years. Claimed he was abducted by aliens. I never believed him but he was entertaining as Hell.

Not really a fan, but any American kid who knew anything about sports saw that movie in 1974 had to be thinking, as I was, that he was a ringer for Reggie Jackson. I haven't been able to watch that movie and not obsess on that since. I did a Google search of "Reggie Jackson The Man With The Golden Gun" and was glad to see that others had posted about thus same thing.

REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER, GOTHAM (but I do have to cringe at some of the dialogue), and THE SIMPSONS (it's gotten good again. And I can get into THE WALKING DEAD periodically. MAD MEN was good for about two seasons.

  • All I can make out is "(mumble), Mr. Bond." Pitches forward, "(mumble)". I do think that both mumbles are the same thing.

Hello. I have a question about the 1954 version of Casino Royale, and I was hoping you could help me. After Bond shoots Le Chiffre, what exactly are his last words? Can you make them out? Thank you.

Hi Birdleson, I trust you understand my taking this response away from the topic thread. Yes, I am indeed still in the SF Bay area. Currently living in El Cerrito and working in South SF not far from the airport. I have plenty of memories of seeing the good ol' Grateful Dead. Must have seen them a dozen times or more. My first live Dead show was January 2nd, 1972, my last was...well, I don't remember the exact date but I do remember they had Bruce Hornsby playing keyboards for them. Good times indeed. Saw them playing at least once for free in Golden Gate Park with Jefferson Starship following them. (Not quite the Airplane, but at least they still had Marty Balin with them at the time.) I feel very fortunate to have lived where & when I have. Saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, bought Lee & Kirby Fantastic Fours off the newsstand at cover price, saw Sean Connery as James Bond on the big screen in the '60s. Life has been (and continues to be) good...
