    For Bond 24:

    - Danny back as Bond
    - Ralph Fiennes as M
    - Ben Whishaw as Q
    - Naomie Harris as Moneypenny
    - Gun barrel at the start of the film
    - A scene in Q lab
    - Flirtation with Moneypenny, followed by an M briefing in his office featured at the end of Skyfall

    Apart from that, anything goes - in reason of course. I'm not entirely sure who the Bond girl could be, as they could go for a complete unknown and still make it work fantastically (see: Bérénice Marlohe). Same goes for the villain, though I'm not sure how anyone is going to top Bardem. Silva is my favorite Bond villain, bar none.

    Despite the ending of Skyfall indicating classic Bond, I still think the days of those TSWLM, YOLT, supervillain taking over the world days are over. It's been done so many times and it really defeats the purpose of the reboot. If they go in that direction, it'll kill the series. We need to continue going in new directions, and as long as Craig is Bond, we won't be going there. I'm expecting something like Skyfall, or Casino Royale but not as personal.

    I love CR and enjoyed SF and think QoS deeply flawed but somehow still underrated. I like that the scripts have gotten more daring and have unexpected endings...

    ...but for God's sake, no more Bond becoming Bond or Moneypenny becoming Moneypenny or M becoming M. Give me a movie where Bond is Bond and the office is the office.

    All this talk about Dalton looking like Dracula and the other thread re-ignited my interest in Dracula films. So, I got a hold of and watched Coppolla's '92 Dracula film again and I realised for the 1st time that Monica Bellucci was in it as one of Dracula's bitc...um...brides. Although shes 48, she's still insanely hot and she doesn't need to be THE Bond girl but I'd like her to have at least in a small/cameo-ish role as a woman Bond hooks up with or we find him in Be with or something. I'm desperate to see her in a Bond movie and I'm pissed that such an opportunity has slipped/slipping away with every passing year.

    Additionally, throw in Daniel Day-Lewis and Gary Oldman as cast members to what ever applicable capacity.

    It has to be fresh and original with absolutely nothing that can be related to any other film ever made. That way I don't have read anymore "it was Bourne, it was M.I., it was this or that or something else" comments.

    If there is a discussion of what's never been done in a Bond film before, please direct me to it.

    - A good script
    - The established cast back! (Dan, Fiennes, Whishaw, Harris...)
    - In best case, maybe even the whole crew back.
    - Kleinman back!
    - Keeping the Fleming-feel alive that echoes in Skyfall
    - A bit more playfulness, style and fun as in CR
    - Not a paint-by-numbers Bond flick but not again a great departure.
    - Quantum back (could give Bond enough character moments without going overboard)
    - An interesting, proper Bondgirl, with which Bond can for once end up with...
    - Keeping the more realistic tone with fantastical elements.
    - A strong villain portrayed by a great actor (as was the case in Skyfall)
    - The shoulder holster back on film
    - Bond looking around in his hotelroom and orderning food, enjoying a drink
    - An interessting and threatening henchmen
    - A proper fist fight with this henchman (Though Skyfall had the fantastic Shanghai scene anyway)
    - Bond enjoying life a bit more
    - A proper filmed and edited car chase
    - Exotic locations, preferable one with snow
    - A strong ally like Kerim Bey or Mathis
    - "Bond, James Bond", "Shaken not stirred"
    - Felix and Bond working together. Should not be overdone, but like in Thunderball.
    - Bond proper gambling at the table
    - Gunbarrel at the start (if only to finally satisfy those who can't live without it ;-)
    - Bond swimming, training (I realise now how much Skyfall actually gave us)
    - Bond and M relationship not being Dench 2.0 but closer to the books and older movies with a modern touch. (I also have no problem with Bond and M needing some warm up and having some difficulties at the start as long as it is not overdone and always keeps the respectful tone)
    - Seeing Bond's flat maybe?
    - Someone said seeing the dull side of Bonds work - paperwork etc. I like that.
    - Some real spywork would be great too. Bond sneaking aroung trying to find information.
    - Bond flirting a bit more maybe
    - a better score (sorry newman fans)
    - a proper use of the Bond theme, in best case at a defining, important and absolute awesome moment. I watched OHMSS yesterday and forgot how powerful it can be. When Bond and Draco are attacking Piz Gloria and the theme kicks fully in, that was really great.

    That's all I can think of at the moment.

    Longer than what we got in SF. I don't need fist fights to last 10 minutes but something around 90 seconds would be ideal.

    So scenes like the fist fight on top of the train at the beginning of the movie would be long enough?

    I can't remember how long Bond and Patrice were going head to head on top of the train but I want to exclude that mainly because it was incorporated with many other action sequences that culminated in their showdown on the train but their fight in Shanghai, I feel could have been twice as long and Bond's showdown with the fat Chinese guy in the casino pit could have lasted an extra 60 seconds.

    Eh, people have different breaking points, I know, but I was bothered in the slightest by the scene you've mentioned. Bond was in a couple of fairly lengthy fights, both at the start of the movie, later against Patrice again, once against three hoods in the casino, taking out four on Silva's island, and taking out the guy under the ice toward the end of the film. I thought they were all pretty well executed.

    I'd like more brutal fight scenes, like in CR. SFs fist fights were cool but they seemed like a bit of a step down from CR.

    I'm not that big on the film but I did really like CRs fight scenes. Every punch hurt.

    Don't get me wrong I loved the action and I agree they were well executed too, so much so that I just wish they had lasted longer. I love seeing Craig as Bond scrapping it up and I agree with@thelivingroyale that CR's fist fights were more brutal and for me, because they lasted linfer, they were more satisfying.

    Actually hwo about Christoph Waltz as Bond villain? Would be the logical choice to follow up Javier Bardem somehow, right?

    We've had plenty a discussion on Waltz as a baddie.

    I'm just afraid people will whine that he only plays a baddie. Plus, it kind of seems he plays the same/similar character in all his roles. A brilliant character, but the same nonetheless.

    I'd be happy, but it'd be a fair bit of whining to deal with from others.

    Leonardo Di Caprio as the villain.... Watch him in Django Unchained (true i have only seen the trailers but still) he just has a creepiness that would work well for a 007 film I think.

    Well, as for his Hollywoord movies, it looks like he actully mainly does villain roles. Ironically some years ago, he said, that he would not want to go to Hollywood to play Nazis and German baddies... But look, it happened. And I suppose, he does not mind doing these parts, which earned him an Oscar nad after that huge paychecks doing this routine. Well, about 25 years back in Germany he was not the usual badguy actor, this actually started with a TV movie in 1989 called "The Final" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0158618/), but up till then he even played a Police Inspector in Austrian TV... Nevertheless he is a fine actor...

    I think personally I'm over the whole gunbarrel thing...
    I quite like how they kind of did a gunbarrel in Casino Royale before it cut to the title sequence, and I was absolutely fine with no gunbarrel at the beginning in SF, because that brass hit you hear when you see Bond's silhouette appear out of focus in my opinion was sublime...

    A return to a more John Barry-esque soundtrack, doesn't have to be Arnold, but should at least have the quality of The Living Daylights OST...

    It should return to the theme taken up in the excellent films CR and QoS. I had hoped Skyfall would have been part of a Quantum triology. And I would like to see Michael Wincott as villain. I agree with those who want a political plot, like in QoS and not a ridiculous villain like Silva. And Jeffrey Wright should return as Felix.

    I can think of at least one way to incorporate the hat throw into a modern Bond film without it looking out of place. I'm not saying it SHOULD be brought back (although I'd welcome it)- just that it can be done if executed right.

    I'm yet to see SF- and obviously know Silva is crazy, but these comments have really made me enthusiastic to see Bardem's performance. Can't wait!

    Have you seen There Will Be Blood? Daniel Day-Lewis could pull off the bats**t crazy villain.
