    I've recently been watching The Saint a lot on TV. As an American I can't remember seeing it before while growing up, as I imagine you in Great Britain might've. Lots of great episodes, Roger's in fine form, good suspense, lovely women, great fight scenes. And fun to see other Bond alumni star in the episodes too--just yesterday it was Geoffrey Keen, and I've also seen Julian Glover, Edward de Souza (Sheikh Hosein), and James Villiers (Tanner in FYEO).

    I also read an article yesterday about his life with his wives, and how he had some trouble from them, but it seems he nevertheless kept an "even keel" in his life. Just about time for me to watch TSWLM or FYEO.

    Watching The Saint will flush out many a Bond actor. It's one of the true pleasures of watching the show.

    I love and miss Sir Rog,just thought I would mention that.

    The best of all the Bonds to me,a hero.
    So happy I met and had a lovely chat with him twice,would have hated to have never met him.

    How he felt being chosen as Bond (delighted),what is was like to work with Oliver Reed (he said he was a thoroughly decent chap,and couldn't believe the man he became later haha)..he mentioned how the massacre in AVTAK made him realise Bond films were changing and he was feeling like an 'outdated pensioner' haaha..bless him.

    Also you could see the passion in him when he spoke about UNICEF (became very serious) and especially foie gras,and his campaign to get it banned.

    Other than Moores utterly charming person, what really does it for me with his films is the exceptional action sequences.
    The boat chase in LALD and the car chase in TSWLM comes to mind, but I'm truly in awe of the ski chase in FYEO, It's insane! And so entertaining. I even have to admit that I do love that music score. Might be my favourite action scene in the whole series.

    Have only just started reading his LALD diary book. So far it's excellent reading. His prose is as entertaining as the man himself.

    Same here! TMWTGG was the first Bond film I watched, and it's still a go-to film for me.

    When you think about it, he was nearly killed before it even started, when he crashed one of the speedboats in a practice run!

    He had a lot of issues on top of occasional health problems yep , but he was the ultimate pro and Bond was in his heart .

    I love that film x Sir Roger looks in top shape in this film,even more than TMWTGG ,and directed by Peter Hunt,and a great theme tune and score.

    I remember reading a quote from Hunt saying that he felt Moore "was never his idea of Bond".

    He IS Bond to me, the first Bond I ever knew and totally grew up with at Xmas,Easter ,holidays etc ...if it was a Roger Moore Bond film we all sat round the telly,a real event ,andthe first of the Bonds I saw at the cinema !
    Shame they never did a Bond film together (OHMSS) as Gold turned out brilliant!
