Is it? I didn’t notice if so.

If it isn't, it's pretty close. The description of each film is off of RT.

Wow. I hadn’t looked at RT’s ranking in so long that I didn’t notice at all.

I'll try to make a top 10 Bond girl list as well. As I'm in the middle of a Bondathon, I might do a complete ranking after watching all the films. Mine is very "TB heavy", as I just love that film, and it's characters. Fiona Volpe wins this one easily, as she's the Bond girl that I've always found the most fascinating.

    1. Fiona Volpe
    2. Tatiana Romanova
    3. Tracy
    4. Solitaire
    5. Honey Rider
    6. Domino Derval
    7. Pussy Galore
    8. Vesper Lynn
    9. Tiffany Case
    10. Patricia Fearing

@Risico007 that top 10 is very similar to mine, except for TLD, don't like that one.

    @Torgeirtrap
TB is one, if not the best Bond film in my book, so nothing wrong with that.

It's been a top three for me since the first time I watched it aged nine or ten, and the Bond girls of the film is one of many good things about it. Fiona Volpe in particular (of course)!

This is to get an idea of how my head works. I'm a die hard Terence Young-style man, but fully appreciate the "let's just have fun" approach.

Of course it's impossible to choose so this is very, very loosely done. In another second I could easily redo it and get another result. I tried to balance favorites with overall strength. Personally DN through LTK are impeccable and it's more of a preferential ordering. The Brosnan era is problematic due to the productions, scripts etc. but none of the four are truly bad or anything, although there are far too many wince inducing moments throughout DAD.

    1. FRWL
    2. DN
    3. OHMSS
    4. GF
    5. LALD
    6. TLD
    7. TB
    8. DAF
    9. YOLT
    10. TMWTGG
    11. TSWLM
    12. MR
    13. FYEO
    14. AVTAK
    15. LTK
    16. OP
    17. GE
    18. TWINE
    19. TND
    20. DAD

CR '67 is unofficial, insane, genius, whimsical, hysterical and amazing. NSNA is none of those-yet I still watch it yearly out of obligation.

    Abomination round:
    23. QoS
    24. SF
    25. CR '06
    26. Spectre which I felt was criminally awful. If I could have I would have crawled up the theater walls. CR '06 may have my honorific "worst movie ever seen" title, but this is even worse.

@hegottheboot_ So, what is it about Casino Royale 2006 that makes you feel that way? It's always a popular film around here, interesting to see a new perspective.

Wow. Casino Royale 67 is an insult to Ian Fleming. Yes, it is dated, but the problem is deeper. It really looks like they just chopped up a bunch of scraps of skits and random junk from the bottom of the inspiration pile and called it a movie. And it succeeded mostly by false pretenses. It had enough big marquee names to make people go to the theater thinking they were actually going to see them acting in a movie.

Casino Royale" must truly be one of the worst films ever created in terms of the worst ever misuse of a great cast: David Niven, Woody Allen, Orson Welles, Deborah Kerr...

Some bad films actually become tolerable or even funny just because they are so bad. "Casino Royale" cannot even accomplish that. It is just an embarrassing failure to tell a confused story about a lot of people named James Bond.

James Bond had originally been intended for David Niven rather than Sean Connery (in Fleming's eyes). Niven finally got his chance to play the title role...a shame it had to be in such an embarrassing mess as this.

On the big screen, Daniel Craig has shown himself fully capable of taking on a British icon: a man of cool, cruel determination, mesmerising sex appeal and a fatally destructive way with women. His Bond in Casino Royale 06, is a death-defying, sportscar-driving, female-back-fondling, cocktail-recipe-specifying triumph. Daniel Craig is a fantastic Bond, and all those whingers and nay-sayers out there in the blogosphere should hang their heads in shame.

CR 06 is ridiculously enjoyable, because the smirking and the quips and the gadgets have been cut back - and the emotion and wholesome sado-masochism have been pumped up (just like Fleming's novel). My only complaint is that the classic Barry theme tune is saved for the closing credits.

I've been posting elsewhere about my 2019 Bondathon, but I'll be hitting the Brosnan era after work this evening, been happily surprised with how tweaked and varied my ranking has looked compared to years past. The only surprises the final eight films should hold will be where I rank the non-GE Brosnan films.

At the moment, yes. I'm afraid I'm not one for the 'harder' Bonds. I must admit that my ranking shifts around a fair bit, so maybe it changes after a rewatch.

Spectre above LTK and QOS? Blasphemy. Lol other than that it's a good list. Welcome to the forum.

At the moment, yes. I'm afraid I'm not one for the 'harder' Bonds. I must admit that my ranking shifts around a fair bit, so maybe it changes after a rewatch.
    Thank you for the welcoming!

DN and Thunderball are also very low. Controversial.

I noticed that, too, it's the biggest change in my list in years, I think. SF being bumped a spot, shockingly, both QoS and CR dropping a peg or two. MR jumps a few, as well, it really meshed well with me this past viewing and I had a blast with it.

I am approaching this in a new way. If I pretend I can only watch one Bond film for the next twelve months, which would it be? Then, pretend that that one is unavailble, what next? And so on. That is this new ranking system for me. Ok...

    2. TB
    3. CR
    4. GF
    5. DAF
    6. QoS
    7. SP
    8. FRWL
    9. LALD
    10. YOLT
    11. LTK
    12. OHMSS
    13. DN
    14. TSWLM
    15. TMWTGG
    16. AVTAK
    17. FYEO
    18. OP
    19. GE

    22. TWINE
    23. DAD
    24. MR

GF and TB really slipped for you.

They’ll never be out out of my top 6. Impossible.....
