For hardcover collectors like myself, Oddjob, (which is not what this collection is called) will be released on August 6.

Nice. Oddjob and origin will both go into my collection. With LALD along the way.

In honor of Albert Finney's death this week, and know I've said it before, but Kincade should be a character that's used in Origins in some way or another. I know there's legal rights involving his appearance outside of EON, but I feel that like Tiger Tanaka in Felix Leiter, there is possibilities for the character to be used right.

That would be great. I'd love to see Kincade join young Bond.

I know people are complaining about Bond 25 to out with news. However, I am more anxious to hear what Dynamite has in store, as they are better in quality on average. Bring on some news, Dynamite! And EON!
  • I'm sure we'll get some news over the coming months in the lead up to Bond 25. Dynamite haven't really been able to release anything to clash with a film yet, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get more stories coming up over the next year. Maybe potentially an adaptation of B25 itself at some point?

Maybe Daniel Craig's whole storyline? After seeing them bring back Oddjob so well, I would like to see other classic characters get their tim to shine as well. Goldfinger, Blofeld, Trevelyan, Drax, Jaws, Honey Ryder, Pussy Galore, just to name a few.

Did anyone read Origins #6 already?
    Damn good stuff!
    Can't wait for more.

I loved Origins #6. The best issue yet! It has a proper Casablanca feel to it.
  • How many issues of Origins are there? I gather there is still a few more issues still to come, but does the pacing suffer at all. Does it feel like a story being dragged out? Genuinely curious.
The first 5 issues are one narrative, issue 6 is standalone and from 7 onwards is another story arc.

It doesn't feel dragged out at all. Very nice pace actually, very engaging.
  • That's good to hear. Definitely quite excited to read it once it becomes available in hardcover format. Hopefully Dynamite can continue this momentum!

That's what I keep saying! Fingers crossed for LALD, MR and more classic Bond characters soon.

Definitely a superior art than that of Bob Q’s.

I love what i'm seeing. This Setup feels a lot more like a traditional Bond story, just with Bond being a rookie. I wonder how much longer Origins will keep going. Is this the last ark, or will there be more? How long can they keep going until Bond is a hardened and expirienced field operative?

I wouldn’t mind if it’s a very long run. 25-30 issues or even more wouldn’t be something I’d be against.

LALD will be released in the next couple month, so you won't have to wait too much longer.

Van Jensen, the writer, confirmed on his twitter it will be released in 2019, we just don't have a release date yet. I think it will come out sooner rather than later. Summertime maybe. But that's just a feeling

I don't know about summertime, as the Oddjob arc will be released on August 6. Hopefully LALD will be released for Christmas though.

Hopefully in this version of LALD, Bond mentions Vesper. It would feel more emotional for the audience to be reminded of her and her relationship to SMERSH.

Definitely an improvement. Just goes to show how much changes visuals apply. Mooney's Bond, while not entirely consistent in terms of likeness, gave an entirely different feeling to his characterization as opposed to the earlier Sterling Archer vibes he left.

It's getting interesting, in my opinion. I like it.
