    Samuel001:
    It was actually $200,000,000.

Now that is a ridiculous amount of money and it actually doesn't really show on the big screen.

Not at all. And ridiculous indeed. All that travelling and it wasn't put to good use. All for nothing. A Bond won't cost that much again for a long time. Skyfall's $135,000,000 is more like it.

I still think they could do an excellent film under 100,000,000. Easily.

At least this film's budget is the same as The World Is Not Enough's and along with those two films, Tomorrow Never Dies ($110m) is the only one over $60 million.

I'm surprised the film is still so expensive, considering they're only in two major locations. They were in and out of Shanghai so fast I almost forget it at times. How much could a prop house and a railway cost?

LTK's $32mil, I'm not sure exactly but that probably equates to about $60 mil today, so that's a bit of a bargain!

But the film did look very cheap !

I feel if the money is there, go on and spend it. I always want the best Bond installment, and money will only bring it closer.

BUT I feel that they could be a little reserved in their spending. Stay under 150,000,000. I don't see how something could cost more than that, if its only 2 hours!

And it's key to note that most of Skyfall's money is going towards the cast.

You have Dench, Craig, Bardem, Fiennes, and Finney. That won't come too cheap. I bet you.. oh, 70-90 Million dollars of Skyfalls budget actually goes to filming.

What the hell? Brosnan's films DO NOT reflect their price! Whether you think they're good or bad, I just don't see where the money went.

How come TWINE cost twice as much as GE, after inflation? Doesn´t make sense.

Ian Fleming himself designed the first cover for CR, published by Jonathan Cape in April 1953.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bond doesn't fire a single shot in GF!

I seem to recall him shooting at some of those chaps in blue pyjamas with a Walther P38 when he's hiding behind the DB5's door in the woods above Goldfingers Swiss factory.

Yes, you have me there. Other than that Bond had very little gone action in GF. Thanks for the correction @saunders.

Lois Maxwell wears a Custom's hat in DAF because she had coloured her hair bright red for an audition.

Roger was supposed to stand behind the chair in "Spy" when Stromberg fires his tube-gun, but he suggested that it would be more exciting if Bond sat down.
A suggestion witch came at a price, because the first time the explosion was to early, leaving Roger with, quote, "3 holes where most people have 1".

Mie Hama, who played, Kissy in YOLT never got a really good handle on English, so they were going to can her. She got wind of this threatened to commit suicide if she were let go. So they kept her.

And they switched her role from Aki to Kissy so that she would have fewer lines.

Yes, his mother Monique was Swiss, but he was born and raised in Scotland. His dad Andrew was a Scot too, yes?

Is it true that Fleming gave Bond the Scottish heritage because he was very pleased with Connery after seeing DN?
I have read this many times but I'm suspicious about the veracity. Is there some reference that supports this claim, like Flemings biography or a letter?

"TB was originally going to be first, but the legal issues started around then and they decided to go with Dr. No instead"

It was good DN went ahead, and the memorable words still ringing in my ear after listening to them in 1962 watching DN in a cinema:"That's a Smith & Wesson, and you've had your six".

In Moonraker, Bond never fires a shot from his Walther PPK or any pistol for that matter. In fact, the only shot he fires is when he uses Drax's hunting rifle to elminate the tree sniper.

Interesting. It is weird to think about it, the "it" being how often Bond engages in gunplay during the films.
