Just the idea of this unstoppable thing coming from the future to kill you, just from something you haven’t even done yet, is terrifying!
They should run with that concept!

Why don t they send nanobots instead?
Because they didn´t have 4K in the 80s to make them visible on the screen.

Seems like the new cast is much younger across the board, then an older returning Schwarzenegger and Hamilton. Curious to see what angle they take; attempting to remain optimistic.

Interesting casting, he was good as Ghost Rider, he must be playing a T - 1000 as he has big ears.

Luna was going to star in a Zorro adaptation as the titular character sometime ago, as well as in the Scarface remake. I wonder whatever happened to those.

Haven't heard anything regarding another Zorro, but I'm pretty sure Scarface is still in the works. Think it got approved for some filming credits in Los Angeles or somewhere, so it's still on.

@ClarkDevlin the planned Scarface remake is set to star Diego Luna (from Open Range, Blood Father and Rogue One), not Gabriel Luna. ;)

Was that Isabel Allende s Zorro? If so, I wonder about that as well. Fantastic book.

Yep! If I recall, it was.

It would seem that Gabriel Luna, who played Robbie Reys/Ghost Rider in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., is playing the Terminator in the new Terminator film.

I can't really comment too much because I quit watching Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before he joined, so I don't know what his acting is like.

If Arnold’s health remains an issue, Cameron is a genius; a clever script in which Arnold’s limitations are taken into account and has him as either the creator of the T-800 or as a soldier, who’s body is ravaged by the war against the machines, is used as the DNA donor got the Terminator’s exo-flesh.

There is no doubt the T-800 would be a CG creation, and you can bet Cameron would insist it be perfect. Chances are it’s role wotls be limited.

A message from Arnold about his health state, posted on youtube April 13. The tagline on the still, "I´m not doing great", is a bit misleading.

He´s not great yet, but good, and he gets good keah.

Get well and be great very soon Arnold!

Some CinemaCon banners have been released for some upcoming films, and one of them seems to confirm this new installment will simply be called Terminator:

I do hate it when new film installments in a series simply resort to using the name of a franchise only without a sub-title. Like Jason Bourne, for instance. Come on, guys, be more creative.

It's indeed lazy, but I also don't want a generic subtitle used either (see: Terminator: Genisys).

They could've gone down the way of either Terminator 2: Judgment Day or 3: Rise of the Machines (title, not the film), or simply resort to something like the Alien prequel did with Prometheus, for example. Seriously, there are many ways to tackle it.

Intended as a genuine franchise reboot [...] Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger will return but only to act as a bridge to the original movies.

Do they know what reboot means? Or will Hamilton and Schwarzenegger essentially did what Dench did in Casino Royale and the new movie actually wipes off T1 and T2 from continuity?

Agreed, however they could've went the other way like the original Alien movies did and called it Terminators or go the way you suggested with Alien/Prometheus and called it Skynet or something.

Most info I hear suggests a sequel to T2, not a total reboot. More like what Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was to Jumanji.
