Well I do hate to be the bearer of bad news but the jig is up as it were. You could say I had a "hidden agenda" of my own. You see, I made both of those covers last year for a bit of fun and I was going to post them after I made them but I got the idea to save them in the back of my mind for such an occasion I'd probably never have again. You've been duped. Sorry for the disappointment my friends. I'm a cheeky one. :D

I recognized your excellent style, but didn t want to ruin your fun. Those big grins of yours also gave it away. Good job.

Thank you. I got the idea after I found this 007 Blood Stone concept art which is where I got the sketches of Craig. ;)

    Great pice of April fools-ery, @Murdock! :)
Was almost too good to be true, yet I fell for it - as many of us here on the thread did! That lower left artwork above looked familiar when I first saw that cover, but couldn't place it before you posted that image right now. Knew I'd seen it before, haha!

If the people at Dynamite don't contact you after that, they're idiots, Murdock.

@Murdock, my initial reaction calling out the April Fools was genuine, but I felt bad for ruining the fun and so I purposefully joined the conspiracy with a follow up post to give the prank some more life. Had fun lying through my teeth, much easier to do over the internet than in person! The minute I saw the art of Dan that you used I recognized that concept art from years back and figured a trick was going on. Nice work to you. I also thought that @ClarkDevlin might have been helping you, but now I'm not sure. Either way, nothing wrong with some innocent fun every April. ;)

@Torgeirtrap, if I had a GIF of Judi at the end of CR saying, "Then you've learnt your lesson," I'd post it. :D

I did help him, Braders. But, Murdock did the ground work. Thought of the YOLT angle and perhaps the 2013 reboot Tomb Raider plot was at the back of my mind, and the small synopsis was conceived.

Didn’t think we’d fool you, though. You’re a man of culture, after all, so it would take a darn professional to make you believe something of the sort. ;)

I had fun, however. Thanks for joining the ride. :))

Haha. It was that obvious, then. :))

Supernaturalism, though only a small amount of it, was used three times before in Bond. Live and Let Die, The League of Vampires (comic strip) and the recent Canadian release of a prose Bond novella Mindbreaker (to a very big extent) from the Bond Unknown book. Dr. No also had a local superstition installed about a fire breathing dragon, I thought of that angle, too.

@ClarkDevlin, the synopsis of the comic reminded me of something you'd write, and the familiar art of Dan on the cover from that BS concept image also clued me in to something nefarious going on. ;) Glad I could keep the charade going, and that my initial cry of April Fools was ignored.

Many years of being played with on April 1st here have conditioned me to be very paranoid on such a day, and thankfully this year I was on watch. :))

I showed @ClarkDevlin those covers at the time I made them. I asked him to write a synopsis for me since my idea was basically OHMSS + LTK. It would have been too obvious. It's good to have connections. :D

Haha, you know me all too well already, Braders! :))

And good thing you've grown more cautious and suspicious of your surroundings. Life can't be safe without those traits, after all. ;)

Murdock can't help but create masterpieces and I look forward to working with him, again. My compliments, Captain Murdock! :D

One of the many things Bond has taught me, @ClarkDevlin. I always look under my nose first; that's where most of the problems are usually found!

Not sure if this is discussed already, but the preview for the Casino Royale comic was released and it looks pretty nice.

That preview gave away too much content, if you ask me. Looking good, though!

Not going to preorder it -will just wait until after it's released. Won't have to get annoyed by delays, then.
